I think the light at the night picture should be stronger.

Have to disagree, i hate in games when its night time but you can see perfectly and everything is just a blue/grey glow.

The images you are seeing are the engine running in DirectX 11. The final release will also support DirectX 9. This will make sure that the game makes the most of your PC and runs as smoothly as possible on high and low end systems.

Okay, so here's the hypothesis.
These 'Battanians' are some sort of mix faction, of dark age Germanic and Celt culture.
In the first two shots, one can easily tell that we're looking at the same town in both images.

Compare the body armour of the player in the third image to the first.
Compare the equipment of the guards in the third & first.

Compare the architecture which I posted last to the buildings in the screenshots.

The Khuzait seems to be the "futuristic" Khergit Khanate, because of the landscape and buildings.

The Battanians are more like saxons, I supposed.

Hmm... The only game my computer can really run is Warband on Medium-High. I am getting a feeling I won't be able to play this until I get a better computer.

If that's the case you can upgrade real cheap. 1 gig v memory gpus are about 20 quid now if you have the motherboard.

No, definitely not futuristic. They're probably the pastoral tribe that preceded the Khergits, like Huns.

The Battanian looks like a pre-Nord faction, and the Khuzait like a pre-Khergit.
But if I'm not wrong about the Calradian lore, both Nords and Khergits arrived there by invasions, and I don't know how before or after it was from the Empire fall.

I don't think they're pre-Nords, I think they're from  Swadia, or might be even the former inhabitants of Warband's Nord lands since Nords were invaders.
