Users who are viewing this thread

Greetings all and thanks for making your way over to our 15th Development Blog. It's been a little while since we updated the blog, but we've been hard at work on the game and we're excited to talk a little about something we've been working on recently.

I kind of stand by them not to release EA not because i dont want EA but because we have a bunch of wannabe Reviewers who go on every early access title and say " Greant concept but cant recommend at this time" thumbs down not because the game isn't good but because of "lack of content or bugs" yeah not **** sherlock anyway the thumbs down reviews has a direct impact on sales. so yeah rant over

They'll do that at release, so it makes little difference. We have waited long enough, the time is right.

you guys starting to loosing faith...

Lost, months ago. The continual and oppressive silence from TaleWorlds, the almost total lack of new information about the game, the lack of a release date or even a beta testing period, and the on-going suspicion that we could easily be waiting another year for news of the game. It's hard to maintain faith in a project this secretive, and a development cycle this long.

It's going to suck anyway until someone makes a good mod. It's going to be located in a fantasy peninsula suspiciously similar to Turkey  instead of using the whole map of Europe and making it a historical game. They could at least use Northern Europe, would make ships much more interesting. "Calradia" is not shaped to make seafaring useful unless they add factions across the sea. I'm waiting for the release date + some years before something good is made for it. Warband didn't really get good until Viking Conquest was made, still playing VC and will stick to it until something better is made for Bannerlord.

As there is no naval combat in the game I doubt that there is seafaring anyways.

I thought there was going to be naval combat?
Seems like a step back in the franchise if you look at the progress of Viking Conquest.
I wonder what's taking them so long! lol

The only word about naval combat was "Probably not, not at release anyway" or something like that. Someone who did a write-up of said interview misquoted that as "Probably at release" (as far as I remember anyway), which muddied the waters somewhat.

5 or maybe 6 Years ago I was so much excited about Bannerlord
now I mainly check Taleworlds website to laugh (like it's a real-life joke) or give myself motivation never to become like you

I'm not even sure when (if) this comes out I'll be able to play any video games after I'm 30...

See you guys with another post on 2020

Good Job really!
wow iTS 2020 NOW

So what do you think happens when you turn 30? Do you stop playing games? Does your trigger finger wither up and fall off or are you afraid your wife won't let you?

I'll let you in on a secret. The older you are the less people there are that will tell you what to do and so you can make more decisions in your own favour.

It's been a month since the last devblog now, has the schedule been completely abandoned? I know Callum apologised last week or the week before about not having had time to do it, but they said there are still at least a couple of blogs to come before early access....which is now little more than two weeks away.

I'd be interested in the answer to that, too. Been checking the forums at least twice daily the last weeks, but no statement was made as to whether the two promised blogs are still to come or are cancelled already :/

That's strange. Instead of hyping the game just before EA, when everybody is interested, they go silent.
I can understand they might be busy, but you don't pass up this opportunity to get more people excited and willing to be parted from their toilet paper funds.
