As is traditional, this blog covers our previous major event, goes talks a bit about our experience and what we showed. This time it's E3, possibly the biggest gaming event of the year and the first time we've ever attended with our own booth. Our reveal was Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's siege gameplay, which came in the form of this trailer and the extended gameplay video below.

Not a) because we've seen how much work has gone in, including lots of images and videos that support it.
Duke Nukem Forever was on a different situation; highly requested, but took years to be started.
C) most probable as it is already delayed, which isn't an issue for me anyway.

Rumors are saying TW lost their most skilled engine programmer, so there's likelyhood - even if very low - that Bannerlord turns out to be vaporware, maybe everything we saw about it was nothing but vertical slices.
Now regarding option c), I think there's a problem in it, mainly tech-wise. If you want a good looking game to render 1000-character battles, you need to ensure there's very good hardware optimization. The game started its development years before the NVIDIA 10 and ATI 400 series came out, and it's likely to be released after 11 / 500 series are out, certainly jeopardizing the optimization. So the stretched development time can impact the final product quality. Duke Nukem Forever suffered from this situation, it was in development for so much time that it needed serious gameplay, graphics, content revamp throughout its creation cycle, hence the mess of a game it turned out to be.

Also in the Turkish forum some guy is spreading some news as for Bannerlord to not get finished is a key person who works with the engine. Is such thing really happening? I suppose not.
I think you should know better than to believe rumours and gossip! Our previous lead engine programmer did move to another company some time ago. About a year... I think? But that's not the kind of thing that would stop a game from getting finished. While he is a brilliant computer engineer and a lovely bloke, we have a fantastic team of engine programmers and I think they're working very well.
There.
To make you people get calm down about this theory. 3 months ago I have had a chance to talk with one of the devs face to face in Ankara. He said to me that the current engine team of Bannerlord was quite strong that they could publish an article a month. Some of you should know what that means in academic media.
I have never talked about this before but I got really tiref of the bull**** that has been going on in the forums lately. This is about all info I can give from my conversation.
No, I don't. But if that's true, looks like TW is having a hard time putting their **** together, taking some steps back in the development cycle to be able to understand the work from their former engine programmer.

!!!!! Are you blind? Apart from Khan's personal info, he also showed you a quote from Captain Lust freely admitting that the lead programmer left, explaining that it wasn't a problem. Yet you don't even acknowledge that and persist in coming up with the most negative take on the issue as possible. Instead of absorbing the statement of our Community Manager, the only solid source of info you have on this, you prefer to pursue the mysterious gossipy version of the same fact and indulge in pure fantasy. Who says they are taking steps back in the development? Is this what it 'looks' like to you? Where are you looking, into the depths of your eager imagination in search of drama to post about? You must be, because you state yourself that you have no other info!
Obviously the other engine programmers would know plenty about what they were doing, and the departing lead guy would have made sure they knew enough to take over the lead when he left. There is no reason to think it was a big setback for Taleworlds. But I expect you would prefer to muse on the possibility that Lust is covering up a catastrophic scenario at Taleworlds, in which the lead engine programmer left in anger one day without warning, not only not helping his colleagues adjust before his leaving, but actually sabotaging the project too.
To bring this topic back to the siege blog; I'm curious about the Sturgian troops. We know they are made up of only infantry and archers atm, so will the troop tree have branch terminations in more than just one type of infantry and archer? I'd like to see the typical elite infantry and archer, plus a light infantry/skirmisher, that may have throwing weapons, light armour and high athletics to move around quickly. The nord troop tree was sort of boring as it only had huscarls and elite archers as the top tier troops (I know sturgians aren't supposed to be nords, but they fit their troop demographic).
I recall both Imperial Crossbowman and Archers being present, so if that's the case for one faction it may be possible for the other factions to branch out into more troop trees.
the only thing i want to know is can my potato play bannerlord just like i can play warband, this is the reason i get hooked with warband in the first place.

wrong thread @hiul, this one is about the blog contents, so you won't find any info on other stuff here. Visit the Bannerlord thread to learn about the game in general. And to see the temporary basic requirements you can visit the Steam page for the game.
I have a question about singleplayer AI. In previous games in singleplayer if you ordered your AI to charge they would attack/focus on nearest enemy and that would cause them to group up and break the line. Is that gonna be changed or...?
I mean in the video it seems it is fixed for siege game but what about the open field battles?
