As promised, we're giving a rundown of what we showed at the PC Gamer Weekender (video below) in March, with some added detail, guided by the questions we received on the forums. Thanks to everyone who got involved whether directly asking questions or just discussing in general!</p>

It was never confirmed, but last year after Gamescom Armagan was asked by a journalist when the game would be released. He said he didn't know but his best guess would be 'some time in 2016'. Now Lust has, near the end of the video in this blog, said that they aim to have us playing the game in some form by the end of the year, whether it is a full release or a beta version. That is all we know. Nobody can really predict when they will have a firmer release date set, but they are going to both E3 and Gamescom this year. E3 is on from June 14th to 16th, so just one and a half months away, while Gamescom is on similar dates in August. If we are to get a firmer release date announcement in the next few months, it is likely to come at one of these events, as they are ideal forums for informing the widest possible audience.

There's yuuuuuuuuge precedent for TaleWorlds releasing the game as a closed Beta (For those who pay for it). I bought the original M&B in late 2005, when it was something like version 0.567; It wouldn't be released properly for another couple of years. The same thing went on with Warband. They may say that it's "Unplayable" or "Buggy" or that there aren't that many features in it yet, but that really doesn't matter to a lot of veteran players, as we've been through it all before. The original game had almost NOTHING in it's earlier versions, yet we still bought it and we still played it.

Ten years is a long time for any community, and there will be a lot of change in that time, but there are still a fair few of the 'old guard', like myself, who remember how TaleWorlds used to utilise it's community to better advance the development of the game.

I'm not disappointed about the fact that they just summarized the video up. I'm disappointed that it took them 2 months to do it. If kids in high school can write essays 1,000 words long within a week, you could most likely do better TW.

You just gave me a massive nostalgia rush. Oh Zendar, my dear Salt Mines, where are you now?

People are being a little harsh on this blog. If you remember he said this would recap and clear up confusions, and that they might have another big Q&A later. This did take way too long to come out, two weeks or two months taleworlds?

Whoa! Stop everything! I've been out of the loop for a while so I don't know if this was addressed before, but during the forging part of the video he said that you can capture a lord, execute him and take his sword to kill his whole family as well.

Has this been confirmed or is he just joking? Because that's huge. It would change the whole dynamic with lords dying (and being born, I guess?)  :???:
Yeah, now they can be killed. And time passes like x4 times faster if I recall correctly, so multiple generations can happen.

I really don't know how they would implement this, because I can't cut a guy with a great sword, kill his horse, stand on his corpse, and after the battle they tell me " Lord Immortal has managed to escape " They should add decaptation and dismemberment  , so we can kill for real.

I was wondering. About craft weapon system. Will there be added an option to make custom troop weapons. So like if you craft your own weapon and shield(if possible) you can make all of your troops wear it? Of course on some cost of your money

I'd like to know if we have to develop a crafting skill to be able to have customized weapons.  That would be a shame. For many characters, it would make more sense to go to a master smith, and order something customized.

Edit: Whooops. The video answers this. My bad.
No Idon't Think it will be ashamed ... you are a lord and you wanna make your own Weapon With your own properties That You want ... They mentioned in an earlier blog .. That You'll name it as well.. So It's Fantastic ?

Will there be an option to have a sword be both one handed or two handed, like in the other games? So you can both fight with a shield or use it like a two handed sword.

Plus, if there isn't a way to craft a hand-and-half sword in native, you can be confident a mod will be made for that.

Is the impact of that in the player character known? For instance, can the player character die and can he have children to act as heirs?
We have asked about That ... About having sons they didn't say anything .. The Character die .. I also donno ? but If you died The game would be ended quickly because you may be killed in your first combact against bandits with your weak party✋? about other lords The game allows them to do all what you can do ... In addition you're controlling your charactee at every single time .. while you are in prison .. you can kiddnap your enemy's son .. To make him let you free ?

Whilst I can't imagine there not being some bastard swords in the final game, or at the very least the code for them, there didn't appear to be an option for it in the crafting section of the video; the drop down menu for weapon type was one handed sword, two handed sword, one handed axe, etc. The player crafted a ludicrously huge one handed sword, with a long hilt and a blade that was almost scraping the ground when slung on his hip. When the player was dismounted in battle it was used as a one handed weapon despite his initial lack of shield. The long hilt and unwieldy size of the blade make it an obvious candidate to be used with two hands.

It would be useful to be able to define a sword or axe as a bastard, or perhaps a certain length or weight of blade could automatically make it usable with two hands sans shield, providing the hilt was long enough.

I think we are going to have bastard swords in Bannerlord. From Frank's AskFm account:

What is the "secondary" tab option when customizing weapons in Bannerlord? Maybe something related with dual wielding? CaballerosdeCalradia

That's for weapons which can be used in multiple ways. Thinks like throwing axes that can also be used as two handers, polearm/2h axes that sort of thing.

Also, throwing axes as two handers? :???:

it's a special anti-charge weapon. if you throw the axe at a group of charging enemies they will become so puzzled why you did that that they stop runnuing

I've never actually thought about that, but, yeah it's a pretty nice privilege.
