Awsome video. If your going to make another one, try to include archery. Helps to show the realistic arrow physics and hits.

If only the game had the capability of an instant-replay of a recently fought battle; sort of like Combat Mission, for example.

Then my now legendary destruction of the Silver Shield Bandits or my heroic but ultimately futile defense of Sargoth would not only exist as tall-tales in Caladrian taverns.

So many memories...

Ah, very nice! But it's too dark to see clearly on my moniter, and if I didn't know what I was looking at, I'd be one very confused camper. *nod nod* :)

When you do your taping next time, make sure to do it in broad daylight.
The game just sells itself, doesn't it? :D

Nox, it's all in the writing. The actor portraying the lead character, what was his name Montana Blacktongue or somesuch did the best he could with what he was given.

Still, bravo!

Morteus Blacktongue, so called because his tongue is black. A character I've played forever.

His story doesn't quite fit into this game, maybe it does - reading the necromancy stuff =)

He is a mercenary captain who was hired by a scholar of some poor repute to guard his estate. While he was commanding this garrison, the scholar was accused of necromancy and attacked. A long story short, morteus allowed the scholar to place a protective ward on him, or so he believed.

Morteus was slain, and as he stood there with the shaft of the arrow in his hand feeling the life drain from him - so did he feel an empty quiet fall around him. The sounds around him fell to a dull ringing, his heartbeat slowed and finally stopped - and yet, there he stood.

He raised his sword hand and looked at his palm, and saw that his skin was grey, and as he turned it over, he saw that his nails were blackened.

He broke the arrow off, which protruded from his chest, drew his swords and waded into an enemy who now began to waver in panic, as this tireless monster whirled in their midst, cutting and killing.

At the end, it is said that Morteus handed the enemy commander a sword at his request that they fight in single combat. The fight began, and morteus did not even raise his weapon or shield. The enemy commander hacked and hewed and finally drove the sword through Morteus' armor and into his chest.

It is said that the enemy commander stumbled back a step, and asked "What madness is this?" before Morteus took a step forward, clasped the commander on the shoulder, withdrew the blade from his own side and pushed it into the chest of the enemy, and drove it through the back.

There, in the smoke and ashes and rain stood Morteus. His first lieutenant hesitantly approached and asked "Sir?"

"Yes?", Replied Morteus.

"Sir, what do we do now?"

"We collect our pay and our dead, and we ride out."

I thought I'd resurrect this thread as Nox's video is entertaining and is something you could show your friends to display what M&B is all about.

It's a shame more people didn't take the time to view the video, especially when there's plenty of time to write "This game rocks!" and "How about multiplayer?" or "Where's Borcha?" :) I kid, I love you guys. Well, not love love, but you rock!

Anyways, enjoy. Show your friends.

(PS I'm not saying it's the Seven Samurai or The Last Hero or [insert your fav movie here], just that here's something that required more than the time to type a single sentence agreeing/disagreeing with the guy above]

Was that the trial of fraps or the full thing? I think theres a trial for fraps where you can video clip about 2 minutes of gameplay, and that movie was about 2 minutes. Does anyone know if that was the full thing or the trial, and if the resolution suffers between trial and full? Cool vid btw.
