Mount and Blade review at HOTU

Finally another preview... :) When will they all finally find out that M&B will rule all games? :P

EDIT:
Somehow I feel I've read that before, isn't that the one on the main page?

I fully agree with the review. It states everything I feel as well.

Big budget game companies better take notice of the gameplay mechanics in this game, because they could learn a thing or hundred for the mediocre games they pay big money to produce.

Love HOTU, it's how I discovered M&B :)

Same here. I went to HOTU and looked up all games released in 2005. Tried out this game, and Zombie Smashers 2. I decided to buy this one :)

RJK.

A well-written review that did capture what I like about the game also.

I would take exception to the first sentence though, M&B is not a medieval life simulationbut a medieval combat simulation - which the author does point out towards the end when he say it's the combat (and the horses) that kept him playing.

An interesting review and I hope more people check M&B and know what the game is (and isn't) about.

Well, it is the same review that was posted quite a long time ago - notice the inverted commas around more or less the entire text except the introductory paragraph? No wonder it seems familiar. :P

In other news, I'm back, although most people wouldn't have noticed my absence. I'm sort of disappointed there's no further update yet.

It's a nice preview, but as some have pointed out, it's age-old. It's been on the main page since May. :p

Didn't mind giving it another read, though.
Oh, that explains it. As I was reading it I thought several times "This is familiar. Have I already read this?"

Which means there isn't as much "increasing interest" as one might hope?

Mechstra, (long time no post), no update in a while, and sort of a "don't mention it, don't bother us" vibe about it.

Personally, my M&B fever is long over and I only play every other day now. One of my heroes is on day 1100, and he's tired of it all. :)

I need another update and the ever-elusive 'New Stuff' to rekindle passion in M&B. Battlefield 2 and other games hold my attention now.
