The High Money Siege in Warband Native is NOT run by any Spartiats. DawidPL came up with the idea, basically ripped off everything that Sparta had.
Westres Siege has a history in WFaS. And even if some Germans are unlikely to agree, it will always remain the #1 siege server for WFaS. No racism intended there, Spartiat is a German clan.
@ Andrix, those "nice maps" you're talking about. Dramatically stolen from Westres.
@ Ncro, yeah, we need events. But the problem is that not so many events would interest the average WFaS player of today.
If we're talking about DP, small and unimportant clans don't even join because they would just be beaten by every other clan, since they are either full of WFaS veterans and/or are using cheats.
If we're talking about the duel tournaments, people don't even join because they would just be beaten by every other player, since they are either WFaS or Warband veterans and/or are using cheats. Or BD.
I mean it can still be fun to participate, but on the other hand, there is no big point to do it if you know you won't win anything.
WFaS needs innovation. Speaking of things like Helios Apollyon's idea of the Dynasty League, in which 2 clans would fight against another 2 clans, or every idea Raven has had. Also, old servers such as Barabe Battle should be brought back, maps should be redesigned (flag spawns, player spawns, etc.) and most WFaS admins should stop being arseholes to others all the time...
Also that WFaS vs Warband dream team match seemed to be a good idea as well. But I guess we'll have to wait for the next siege event to come. I guarantee, that it will be a thing soon, just going to have to make some great maps for it. Because what's an event without custom maps? Nothing!
We shouldn't bring back the Deutscher Liga either, that was a complete mess when it was still going on from what I remember... Uh, those times at EF were tough. The DP will go on anyway, and I personally am happy that this year only 13 clans applied for it. But yeah, it's gotten too old. New leagues should be made, and the winning price should be a payable low price as well. I mean look at the Pro Gaming League! Organized ran away with the money he promised all 3 times. IMO the best league WFaS has had was the Champions League. Good ol' Turkish fellas know how to make great stuff done
Returning to the high money settings on servers, skill is not shown in the armor one's wearing anyway.
@TheProgrammer No comment lad, this is not the thread to discuss it. But I see one thing: you guys will never grow up. So in your case I can only repeat myself: "most WFaS admins should stop being arseholes to others all the time..." I mean, having a running server with 300 players banned from it only because they are more skilled than every single player of your community... Not even Westre admins do that, and you certainly seem to hate all of them. A dead clan should either come back fully, or stay dead forever.
( 300 players banned from Sparta siege - Get it? )
PS: Get a proper English grammar.
Also we need more French in Lazarus. Just wanted to point that out.
To summarize, I'm not the one to ruin conspiracy theories or tell others what to do, there are the people to do that anyway. Yet I can tell that once people start trying to do
something, then it will be done anyway. I mean, look... Every second thread related to WFaS is someway about the game dying. It's our fault for just plain complaining about it while we all could do something for the game to stay golden and live. I swear that once I get back into the game, I'll get something done. At least I get some praisements from old friends for my work here.
People need a reason to play WFaS for and there hardly is a single one in the game. But it's still a great game: You can play it for many different reasons. First of all, it's competitive, meaning that you can actually ascend in it and feel good about yourself. Secondly, it's multiplayer, meaning that you can have fun with your friends while playing it and also gain new friends. And finally, it gives you autonomy. A lot of autonomy actually. I for instance literally broke from my real world and moved a part of my life into WFaS. Some say it's a good thing, some say it's the worst thing that could be done. I'm certain that once somebody really gets into the game (not meaning he or she gets addicted to it), it can change lives forever. And even if it changes them for the bad, the lookback is always a pleasant feeling.
15 days and here's my 4-year anniversary...
