Just around the corner?m I'd say it's not even close to the corner... If that is your doubt, then buy it. There is however a game coming out in september (published by paradox) that resembles a lot m&b with better graphics. Some have even said it to be a clone of the game...

It's not a trailer, but some very early work in progress.
The official video was taken down, so I don't think they're happy about the footage.

If the Fatshark guys (or anybody else for that matter) deliver an AMAZINGLY FUN 200+ multiplayer game with stuff like - chambers, crush/pierce through, pickable missiles, horse bumping/rearing, maps customized & loaded on connect for sieges, duels... and at least half of Warband's mod friendliness (and a sandbox single player campaign mode just as a little bonus) - let me know

OK. At least M&B would have very small community, because in singleplayer games most(not all) players get bored after short time(even M&B SP have long gameplay).

I have played single player for years. Came back to the vanilla three times and spend countless hours every time, and I have spent countless hours into SP mods, and I undoubtedly will many more.

Yea I just react on HardCode. Mount&Blade have really big potential in multiplayer like e-sport. There is no similar multiplayer game(WoTR is crap).

Now if you tell me that TESIII, IV and V have SMALL communities... include the Witcher I and II, which, AFAIK, are also SP-only... And many other games.
MP in M&B is bad. Terribly slow, prone to getting abused by people with long axes that 1hk everything, and it's simply unnerving.
IMHO.
Of course, it would be very fun to mod, so I can make it awesome, but I still believe that the SP aspect is much more important. Please, devs, don't do like BF3 and give us a semi-sense-making half-arsed SP campaign and a fantastic multiplayer. It would be good to have a fantastic multiplayer, but I'd prefer a fantastic SP.

And what archers? 2handers are free "cake" for archers. In M&B MP is everything on player skill. I killing tons of 2H on TDM or siege server with short sword. Try to troll with 2h in pro match. Everyone who complain about 2h just have low skill. Dont forget Warband is a team game so coordination is very important here. Warband is balanced, more than you think.

So be it. I can't play it as it is, I've never thought that the MP deserves any effort when there's the SP.
I don't care if I can't play Native MP. Be sure that I will be able to play my own mod's MP though.

After seeing news, videos and info leaks all over the place...

I'm with the guy that some pages ago said that they should tell something to the community.
At least disclose some generalities about what we can expect.

Sincerely, I'm a bit worried that they just keep updating and updating the engine, rehashing mechanics and polishing minimally from game to game.
The effort is important, even if I understand that is just easier to avoid risks and add just enough features to sell it standalone.

Let's see, I hope to be wrong. I wasn't with my prediction about WFaS. Plus the lack of modding nailed it.
