Most Powerful Horseback Units?

Hi all,

Just recently installed this great mod and I am currently aligned with Khergit Khanate and at war with the Nordic Monarchy at the moment.

The reason I went with the Khergit Khanate was because they gave me access to Horsemen after one upgrade.

I'm looking to have a party of all different types of horsemen (I like the rush in battle  ).

Just wondering though, I've obtained Mangudai and Arbans which are very good, but are they the best mounted units in the game?  Would Khergit Khanate be the best one to stick with in this respect?

The swadian knights templar are the strongest cavalry in the game.

Definately... Templars But they are freakin hard to get... Try bust some patrols that have Crusaders as prisoners, they are good too

Afaik Cavaliers are the most powerful of the "easy to get with training skill" units.

Since every faction has its own 'special units' I don't think it has to be changed...

Right now, it's like this:

Swadians: Specialist Heavy Cavalry
Vaegirs: Jack-of-all-Trades
Khergits: Specialist Light Cavalry
Nords: Specialist Heavy Infantry
Rhodoks: Specialist Crossbows and Pikes

The Nords have Valkyries, who ride standard speed horses IIRC.

But still they are the best with their heavy infantry... Their horses eat pie and their archers shoot flowers >.> But they sure hit you with an axe!

the nord Valkyries ride horses with 52 speed.. their charge HURTS and Valkyrie queens are in plate armor they aren't bad.. the thanes suck though.

When you get 200 odd thanes, they get a bit better.

Course the valkyries will have killed everyone by the time they get there.
