Most infuriating experience ever [Tournaments]

I wanted to like this mod, but seriously, what did you do to tournaments?

I went to a tournament in London and it's mounted skirmisher combat. Cool. Only it takes 10 javelin headshots to kill someone. And if you are an archer you have no bow, just a dagger and some arrows. It takes around 20 hits to kill someone with this dagger, and you have no shield, so your only hope is to find a used javelin in a wall and poke people with it like a gimpy spear. I got all the way to the 2nd to last round using this tactic of poking people with a javelin, then all 4 of us were "archers" except, of course, I had no bow while they did. Maybe I will give the mod another chance in a few months, but for right now I'm far too angry at spending over an hour poking people with butter knives to touch it.

Yeah, arena and tourney weaponry really needs fixing.

Yeah tournaments need fixing, but really, this is still the greatest of mods.

I think the ONLY decent tournaments are the realistic ones in the 1257 AD mod. The rest are ridiculous! Why the heck can't the fighter CHOOSE his weapon?

Actually I came to like it. It's more of a challenge like that and your win isn't assured.

This is actually more of a native problem than a brytenwalda problem.

yeah tournament fixes are necessary, i have defeated 2 people  in a tournament, they use a dagger and spear.
I defeated one of them with bare hands (because i was spawned with no weapons) and the other one with dagger by picking the guy's i knocked out earlier  ( my health is only 80% before fighting them + AI speed an skill on Normal and Average).

The reason you sometimes spawn with no weapons is because you don't meet the requirements for that weapon. A simple fix is to give all tournament weapons no requirements

Another suggestion is get rid of the horses, or most of them. The ai can't fight from horseback, they just cram up against the wall and die. Also work on the scenes
i was thinking of another idea for the rpg element/solo player... Bring in prize fighting (can start bare fist). Meet a guy in a tavern and set up fights, can teleport to the underground fighting ring or something.. Maybe if i learn to mod it i can make it..
As a side note i was just fighting 28 dena's by myself, (broke 3 of their shields!), one guy ran out of arrows or something and was suddenly bare fist... I was bearing down on him on my arabian horse, winding up a blow with widowmaker... And he held his arms up to his face in defense, i lol'd hard then cut him in two. LOL

Note that using X you can go from javelins to using it as a short spear which is a great option.

Note that if you appear on a horse without a weapon, get off and then you can use your monster axe that can't be used on horseback.

Note that if you can't use a bow, you might still have a dagger to use up close.

Note that if you have trouble with one weapon, wait until someone gets knocked down and take a different weapon or jump on a horse
that is wandering around to get mobile.  There are lots of variations in the tournament that you can do.
