More Questions From a n00b

Alright, I have questions. :roll:

1) Is there a troop limit? If so, is it set at 176? (I think I've reached it. :oops: ) Is there any way around this?

2) To add more troops to be available to upgrade to (as in, go from vaegir veteran to vageir horseman OR vaegir horse archer), do I just have to add the new troops and make them the second upgrade in Effidian's Editor?

3) How do I change the names of passages? As in, instead of "passage--Go," it would say "Door to Zendar center--Go."

4) Has anyone created a conversation editor yet, or do I just have to go through and learn how the python files work (the day after I figured out how the conversation text file worked, and made a long topic about it, armagan released the mod tools :roll: )?

The unofficial editor limits it to 256. There are places where the index has to fit in a byte (the upgrade designation is the one I'm thinking of at the moment). I don't know if you can actually add more and then just not use them as upgrade units, but the editor won't allow it.

They need to be in a particular location in the list as well. I have not spent the time to figure that out exactly, maybe AncientWanker can comment, I know he's dealt with it...

The current editor has a conversation editor.
 
Okay, thanks for the help Effidian (Editor is even better than I previously thought, as I'm finding out :wink: ).

However, I now have a new problem: I created a "house," a generated (non-randomized) scene that links to zendar. I made a passage back to zendar, and it works with any previous entry point, but when I try to use any point 25 or higher, the game crashes, saying the player isn't in the scene. Any ideas?

Also, is it possible to link a scene from a scene in zendar (as in, go to Zendar, take the passage to the generated scene, and from there take another passage to the inside of the house)?


Edit: Okay, now I got it to work by using an entry point with number 17. However, now the Editor won't save when I try to add the inner part of the house. Any thoughts?
