This is a collection of ideas for forum ranks. This is what I came up with.


Peasant 0-50
Craftsman 50-100
Merchant 100-175
Alderman 175-250
Squire 250-325
Knight 325-450
Baron 450-600
Viscount 600-825
Earl 825- 1050
Marquess 1050- 1375
Duke 1375-?

Input your ideas please, if you have more ranks in mind, different post numbers, or basically anything else. Together let us come up with a more functional forum rank system.

Here would be mine:

peasant: 0-25
Page: 26:50
squire: 50-100
Knight: 101-200
Lord: 201-350
Baron: 351-500
Earl: 501-750
Duke: 751-1000
Prince: >1001

I guess a Marquess would be a typo? or is it:

I'd say there should be a time based thing for getting the really high forum ranks, as otherwise it encourages spamming. So you would need 50 posts and a week or two to go from peasant to craftsman.

I think instead of a time based thing, a Ban based thing is needed. people who spam get several holes drilled into their buttocks.

Here's what I was thinking for forum ranks:

Marnid 0-50
Borcha 50-100
River Pirate 100-175
Forest Bandit 175-250
Mountain Bandit 250-325
Sea Raider 325-450
Kniggit 450-600
Knight 600-825
Count 825- 1050
Beyond Count 1050- 1375
Duke of Calradia 1375-?

But I think that yours is probably more useful. (And I think there is something to the idea that additional titles might generate more spam posts than attempts to discuss & share - yeah, it's ironic that I would say that.)

Spamming isen't really and issue, and I'll make sure that it wouden't become one. Ban's aren't really needed, since I can simply delete a spammy post.

I dunno why but i hate all these, viscounts, and counts and all those titles, for some reason, every time i hear those, i pictrue a rat faced greedy man sitting in a lush chair chuckling evilly, a treasure chest in front of him, counting his gold.

if memory serves me right, a marqui is a male and marquessa is a woman. Duke, i guess i wouldnt mind, ealrs, meh, but thats just me.

Maybe stuff like "Drunkard", "Tavern Brawler"
