This game is great, i love the way things are determined in parties and the way skills affect things and how different units attack at diffenernt levels and what weapons they use.... or i at least i think that is how it works.

What i need is more specific information on the screen available to me. Like how much more xp my soilders need to lvl up. What attributes my soilders have. Not as much info as a hero but just let me know what things they are good at, what thier attack/defend rating is.

I need more explaination on what the skills actually do. Do i need more points in trainer or leadership or tactics to be able do this or that.

I guess this and more could all be in a manual but i would like to see the info onscreen. I believe this is key to the game because its not a game shooting for amazing graphics or cut scenes. Its a game that has tonnes of information, tactics, and many different ways to play it. I would like to know more specifics, but not so much as it turns into a numbers game either.

imo

You can get that information by talking to your troops in the party screen and asking them to tell about themselves.

Thanks for the reply. I didnt know you could talk to the soilders. Just htought it was the heros.

I would still perfer the information to be within the party screen. I like to compare and see all the info at once.

As for the skills instructions, they are still very vague. I think an official manual could explain these more.

I don't think that most people find them vague at all; however I think the majority would have some experience with other RPGs/FPSs so there'e not too much to figure out. What skills are you having problems with? E.g. you mentioned trainer...if you put points into that skill, every day (at midnight) all the members of your party will get experience, just as if you'd been running drills with them. The amount of experience they get goes up as you put more skills into trainer.

Well, what about when it says you cannot upgrade this unit cause your level is too low?

Is that Training Skill, or is that your players LvL, or some other skill?

Im used to these games and pretty much learned how to play fairly quickly. But as with playing all these other RPG/RTS games i find they have alot more information for you. I still see this game in beta and know its not the polished version. But if i was producing this game i wouldnt let it be finished with out a good polish on the method of giving information and data to the user.

Level too low means that your character's level isn't high enough...you have got a point though. It was discussed a lot on the boards before one of the recent updates whether that would be a good feature, to stop level 2 characters ordering around knights, and I think some of the newer features have been designed with current players in mind rather than new players.
