Well, I'd be happy enough to even see the European servers up. That'd give me some hope...

Well, 6000 beta applications ... hmpf .. Does that mean my chance is 6000:1? Or 6000:4 since there are (estimating) 4 servers?

Actually there are 8 servers right now. Reason being is that crashes happen fairly often.
It seems when one person tries to pick up a shield or weapon, occasionally it will cause a conflict with all other people playing the game and the server will crash for everyone. We are gathering error messages right now from everyone to see if Taleworlds can duplicate this error and find a fix but so far it seems rather random.
I don't actually see all eight of them half of the time too. But they are named Beta_server_#, so we know how many there are.

That's why you do play and you practice and get better at it like the rest of us. We all sucked when it came out and we all get better...for example I just use a lance or a bow and arrows and now when I have a lance out all the horsemen run away from me (that's why we need new people so I can kill them) so instead of spectating try and play and get better.

No. The servers dont work like that. First off, all 8 are never up at one time. As for now, I only see one or two. Second, its not like WoW or other MMOs where each server is a whole world. Each server is basically a different game mode that each person can choose from as they log in. So, if there are only 6000 beta applications that are going to be given (I have no idea where this number came from, im just running with it since its been given). Your odds are 6000/#ppl_applied.

No you got it wrong 6000 people applied for the beta tests but only few will be chosen and i think that they wont give more ppl access to the server than what is their capacity. ). and if there are 8 server that makes it 256 beta testers so the odds are 23:1 and if i count only USA servers (there are probably players only from US) was a chance around 12:1 to get chosen for the beta. I've played Everquest and WAR in the past and understand the need for Euro servers as im from the UK and yeah more people are on during my play hours, but i could also join and american server should a choose to.
Have the invites so far only gone out to US applicants or am I reading wrong and its completely random? Would just make sense if everyone would use the current ones, US players at their time zone, then Euro's at theirs = constant use 24/7?

Ah, i see your math. /fail But wow, only 6000 applicants, whew, that doesnt seem like alot. But meh, whatever.
I dont see why they wouldnt let more people in. Because assuming they sent out 50 to 100 first round. The max population I have ever seen is 20 people on one server. So at that rate, why not let more people in than servers allow? Not everyone will be playing all the time.

There are usually 4 servers online. Yesterday there were 2.
You also have to cross off all of the 6,000 people that applied without a serial code.
I wonder if they also look at how active you are in the forum. I think forum members should have a way higher chance.

I wonder if they also look at how active you are in the forum. I think forum members should have a way higher chance.
I can't agree 100% with the "more you post the greater should be your chance as a beta tester" mentality. Many people who post a lot are ass-hats (not you, just to be clear). I also have friends who play mount and blade and love it but who rarely use an account here, if ever. There is no correlation.
If they do look at a member who posts, the admins should read a couple posts of the possible future beta tester and see if they have a mature mindset. For example that guy who checked for clipping in the map....he probably did as much to help the developers as the rest of us combined, because he was taking beta testing seriously.
