I wonder how the morale change does work?

After 1 day the morale mostly goes down for -2 to -4 points but occasionally I notice it increases (+4 last time). What exactly does influence on the morale in Silverstag?

Every night I get a massage that my warband reflects about recent events and I get a moral penalty of -1 or -2

Not sure what thats about and why it happend out of the blue

Nothing much has changed, I freelance atm, living of my factories and do some odd jobs along the way

Using only same faction troops, diversity of food and Sundays off

Silverstag Wiki: Party Morale

Windy honestly I'm bit confuse also about the party morale and I already read the Wiki. Mostly it goes -2 and -4 and sometime out from no where it can also plus something (every night) but I really don't know what do I do that it become plus or minus. In the time of peace my party morale becoming so low and troops start deserting. And I don't really know what to do, except change the morale system in camp to normal and fighting some enemy, when in war time I use again your morale system as it said can hold more troops than natives.

The messages you see every evening is your real morale shifting closer to your ideal morale.  This difference is represented by the "Recent Events" number.  If recent events is +30 then you're going to lose morale every night as that number reduces towards 0.  If recent events is -30 then you're going to gain morale each night as that number improves towards 0.

Ideal morale is what you get when your food variety, troop bonuses, leadership, party unity and days on the march values are all combined.  This is what the party's morale should be, but isn't due to "recent events" such as combat.  I can promise that in 0.15.13 we're going to see a new UI screen that will detail exactly what your morale is doing and why.  It is in progress of being created right now.

This is what I meant and is what I have been working since yesterday.  Hopefully this will clear up some of the confusion on how morale works with an in-game description of how it is calculated.

With three main sections detailing:
* Party morale and how each factor is arrived at.
* Troop morale adding in the various faction penalties and letting you know if someone is approaching a state of desertion.
* Morale history which is a new log that tracks each change in your party's morale and why.

There's a lot of short-hand data such as (+1/6) in the party size stat meaning +1 morale per 6 men.  Or -2/1 for mercenaries meaning -2 morale for each mercenary.  Do ignore the actual data being presented in the interface as it is stuff I made-up in order to setup the spacing of everything and test how data looked.

To confirm what a few folks have mentioned about the party morale report in the past, it doesn't add up correctly.  There was a domestic policy (slavery) effect that was not being applied.  The new report, tested against numerous different save games, reads accurate now though.

Now I understand totally and I must say that's so realistic, because both the positive moral modifier and the negative moral modifier will fall back to neutral again. As we both sad or happy in regard of some event it will be pass through time. You already quantifying the troops morale very good over here. My misconception is because the drop or increase of troops morale each night is as a result of "contemplation" in the night time, so I think the drop and increase of the troops morale is been cause by what I do in the day time. This make me confuse "I do lots of battle and get them lots variety of food why their morale decreasing?" "I don't do anything special this day why they morale suddenly increasing?" but now I perfectly understand the daily morale system.
