Money vanishes?

The pop-up to pay hasn't...uh, popped up and I've been fighting a lot, but I'm like 3k down from where I was....eh??  Has it perhaps been subtracting instead of adding?  (Just happened the last few days of gameplay I think).

EDIT- Unless it costs money to put men in/out of a castle..

EDIT - Ah...upgrading soldiers.  Didn't even notice usually, I guess I've been fighting a ..lot.

yes and food. and hiring of soldiers. it may seem like very little each time but it takes its toil.

Yea I've been rotating my men out of my castles (I like to keep fully upgraded men in castles) so I've upgraded a LOT of soldiers recently.

EDIT - As for food, I never BUY food.  Heh.
