So yeah I have had a couple funny moments in my small time with Mount&Blade. Here is what popped up on my little news thing in the middle of combat. THat is after I messed with the ediotor for a while.

Couched Lance Damage!
1088 Damage.
Dark Knight killed by Veraska Karad.

My favorite, is this time I was hacking up some Mountain Bandits, and off in the distance, I see 6 bandits, some on foot, some on horses, drop out of the sky and fall out out of view, followed by several "Mountain Bandit has fallen unconsious". I laughed so hard, one of the little bastards I was fighting with came up and smacked me with his broadsword.

Every time i kill both rider and his horse with a swing of my un edited no cheats axe (probaly he took damage from someone else but still its fun)

Hah. Those are pretty funny! I recently was playing the DarkMod and was fighting the Dead of the Lake...which was quite east considering I spent forever leveling up my troops...that is, I cheated like a *expellitive deleted*. So I had a nice big army with swords and bows...versus Hells Rejects...sounds like fun huh?

There's a cheat mode?
Haven't played for a while :p

I always find it amusing on the world map when groups are chasing each other only for a bigger group to come along and them to flee.... Once happened with a group of 100 river pirates chasing some kergits...There was so many bugs working in that one...

An interesting thing I have noticed recently - I will be cruising along with a group of 45 or so (10-12 swadian knights, 10-12 sharpshooters, and 10-12 seargents - the rest in training) - and often a numericaly superior group of bad guys - say 55 steppe bandits or some such, will start chasing me.

Apparently they see I only have about 45 troops, so they think "oh goody, there is a juicy target" - but then suddenly when they get closer, they turn and run - I think that when they get close enough they see that I have troops that are generally much stronger than they are, they realize maybe it was not such a good idea...

Anyone else notice this???

Yes, happns to me alot...
I really like it when I kill someone that is mounted but while I strike the killing blow his horse is stopped by something, sending his body flying and landing several yards from him.

Yeah normally when i'm running around with some vast number of knights or some crazy amount of really powerfull soldiers they tend to do that.

I was running around on a map with 53 swadian knights/highered blades, don't remember the exact numbers, and some big ass Vaegir patrol of 90 comes chuggin' by, see's me and goes OMG KILL.. And I was just looking for a good fight so i'm like "Sure!" And go running headlong at them, then as we go closer they suddenly turn around and start running away from me, I laughed my ass off for so long as I just harrassed them around the map and eventually they ran headlong into a Swadian war part of 110, still afraid of me, was awesome. Probably a bug or two workin in my favor but it was still hilarious.
Though eventually as you get into the higher levels and better troops alot of bigger groups of bandits will run away, works great for caravaning.

I don't remember when, but i was standing on the map, waitng for the nobleman to show up somewhere, holding space. Suddenly, a huge group of steppe bandits (or sumthin) start chasing me, than run off, than do it again. They did that for 1.5days, and than were owned by dark knights.

I had lost quite a bit of my army do to a slew of attacks from both Steppe, Mountain, and Forest bandits. Two of which I started and goofed on, and the last which had chased us down.

So I'm riding back to town hoping to rest up and get my knights/men at arms back from unconsiencousness(sp?). On the way I notice a group of about 11/32 river bandits with what seemed like 2 knights, 8 men at arms, 12 crossbowmen, 8 militia,.. etc. I'm thinking sweet! I dive in to take care of them (they are easily outrunning us), when lo and behold a group of 12 Dark Knights 8 Dark Hunters takes them down. I'm thinking blast! These Knights had about 68 Swadian/Vaegirs as prisoners.

So I run to town, fill the remainder of my slots (up to 50) with peasants/militia. Go back looking for them.

They ran from me for what seemed like an hour (real time) several days game time, before eventuallly getting stuck at that mountain range that's north behind Veluca. I had everyone dismount, hold the spot, and we proceeded to slaughter them. I lost about 10-15 peasants in that fiasco, but gained an army of over 18 knights, 14 men at arms, 12 crossbowmen, and so on.

Those Knights are a very tough nut to crack.

I wonder what motivational speech my guy must have told the local town, to get all those peasants to rally to my cause...

Do you ever play WITHOUT cheating?

Yes, Yes I do. But I find cheating semi enjoyable, particulary gettting my old charecter back from when I could only play on my brothers computer. See he would bribe me to leave them alone by letting me play on his kick ass super powered gaming computer, which I took advantage of. Getting several hours of mount and blade in every friday or so.*sometimes they came on thursday or saturday, you get the idea.* Besides It's so much fun to be ridiculously overpowered and soloing the river pirates mission. *I always trick them onto the flat lands.*

Has anyone ever noticed what happens in the arena? Hoiw sometimes a horse will glitch over the wall into the abyss. I wanted to find out how far this abyss goes so I charged the archer after my horse had been hit several times, he hit me at the last second and I meandered around up the until my team won. *I'd killed everyone but the archer.*

I kinda enjoyed my 2 rare moments when I fired off an arrow or bolt (think it was with a bow) over a hill and hit some unseen enemy in the head from a very long distance.

Surreal luck...
