This has been covered 100 times already.

We are probably very close to the final release; a new module system at this point would be pointless, as it would have to be done again very soon.

As has been said, only a few posts under your post. Please don't spam a topic that is ALREADY STICKIED!

... And have some patience.

If you want to edit the current game get the troop editor and the item editor, I think they work with the new version.

As unlikely as it is that my request will be granted, I'm going to suggest that the team release a module system so we can do our thing.

Apparently not - September. Also, the release of the module system would greatly help us prepare for the next stable .95x and 1.0.

Now that .955 is officially deemed stable (It's on the main page), I hope the module system comes out soon.

It'll come.

Just remember, we can be glad we have a module system, at all. And I'm sure the new module system will have tons of new awesome stuff -- as it always does.

I'm currently working on a mod with another person, so the urge to begin my own mod isn't particularly strong. However, if I did want to make my own, I wouldn't see the point in doing much until the final version of M&B comes out, so I can see the sorts of features I'll have to work with. Once we have version 1.x, I'm sure few people (I'm mainly refering to the buyer who isn't a member of these forums) would want to download old, much less good (no offence meant, purely commenting on the game's progress) versions just to play old mods. Of course, we can expect to see many mods ported when M&B 1 and its module system is released, but this may be difficult depending on the number and nature of new features we see.

Yeah, I agree. If you plan on starting a mod right now, start making it for M&B 1, not M&B 9.55.

I'd say if you have to urge to script anyway, make sure everything is nicely classified and incredibly easy to port. But you should always do that anyways.
Or actually keep the scripts outside the module system untill the module system for 1 comes out. (And using the 9.55's one for basically just testing your scipts.)

The thing is, I always make personal changes to Native for my own enjoyment. In order to do this, I need the module system. I'd like to mod 0.955 to my preferences until 0.9xx or 1.0 comes out

For instance, I really, really, really, really, really want to put in the Hero Management from BoW. It's so hard to play without it.
