You copied the Native folder to your own end module's folder, right? Module_info.txt is in there.

yeah... I really dont get what you mean...
Ok, a bit more detail then.
Each mod has it's own folder within the Modules folder. For example, "C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade\Modules\Native" is the vanilla Mount&Blade module. You should have copied that folder and renamed the copy for your new mod, as part of the process ("C:\Program Files\Mount&Blade\Modules\MyCoolMod" or whatever). Within each mod's folder, that is where the file is you're asking about.

Ok, I did this and then I went in there, found the file, and added the changes. Then I went back to my desktop and opend up the .zip0 file that i downloaded, and opend up build_module.bat and then an error came and said

could not find c:\documents and settings\Jake\*.pyc

am I even trying to open it right? and thanks for all the help janus, becuase im new at this I really appreciate it

It sounds like you're trying to skip some steps and have missed editing module_info.py in the unzipped module system files.
Really, you should be following this tutorial to get started:

oh man im getting pissed, I followed the tutorial EXAACTLY like it said, and when I opend up the .bat file, here is what happend.... and help?

Try this on your build_module.bat:

I had that same issue at first as well.

p.s. Thanks so much for the help, I know you probably have better things to do so thanks

Yep, that's the right output. It's just a lot more condensed than the default build_module.bat would give, but the same info.

if thats right, then where do I edit stuff?
The build_module.bat file just builds the text files from the scripts. You need to edit the scripts, the module_*.py ones.
Check the top post of this forum for some tutorials on editing.
EDIT: and by top post I actually mean the one now just below this one.
