Mods becoming published games?

I thought I read that one of TaleWorld's games (possibly "With Fire and Sword" ?) started as a mod and was then published by the company as a standalone game? If so, does TaleWorlds have any plans to do something similar in the future with Bannerlord mods?

...sincerly don't know if Polish and TW versions are the samegame but with different name, probably they add some features on later TW version but after all this years I forgot...
