Anybody know what string in the simple triggers text controls what model the player gets on the campaign map in VC? I can't take the bald guy anymore and want to change my model to what the other lords use.

Well, your suggestion about bald character is in our list (but this is a detail and will take time). However, you need to open icons with open brf and change your player icon for other you wish.
Same name = no bugs.
 
Don't get me wrong I absolutely love the new look of the armies and how they grow in size as your army does. Just the main character model has the same look as a infantryman in a lords party. I'm very glad to hear this is on your list to fix at some point, thanks for the advise I was easily able to change this.

Anybody interested in this mod here are the changes I made.

The dream is to have the map character correspond to arch types of equipment used in the paper doll (light, medium, heavy, helmet, no helmet, axe, horse, bow, shield, spear and sword), but I guess that's currently technically impossible to do isn't it?
 
Does anybody know which file controls the heraldry/shield decal displaying on the campaign map character shield. There are a few that are broken or the right trigger is not assigned.

Hmm, I've got the .brf file you provided, but the shield on the back of my mounted character is plain, but the walking one matches my banner.  Is it there a different file to change as well?
 
This was a bug before 1.03, if you are running the beta version if should be fixed. If you are running an older version you can fix it with this bit of code.

Note : Make a back up first, but you can open map_icons in your VC mod folder. Find the broken code listed above and replaced it with the fixed code. It should be near the top of the file so it is easy to find.
 
Thanks man! I'll give that a go.  Yeah I'm still v 1.02, I don't have it on Steam.  Which is a bit meh when they patch Steam first....for whatever reason :/

I have some errors with this.

1. Some Map icons "boar icon" doesn't even exist, it seems like the mod is sadly outdated. :c could you please update it somehow?

2. When Merchants join my party, my map icon dissapears!

Yeah the mod is outdated, the devs actually fixed this with reforged edition so this mod is no longer needed.

If that is the case: can you update the OP and close this thread? So no more players doing necro rez on a old mod  :mrgreen:
