This is more of a curiosity thing than anything else, but I'm just curious why armagan is making modding tools before the game is finished. Wouldn't he have to update the tools everytime he updates the game? Or will the tools actually allow him to work on the game faster himself? Pretty much what I want to know is if he's making the modding tools because they will help him make the game itself, or if he's just caterign to the loads of people who want to modify a game that isn't finished yet?

My guess is that most of the game mechanics the mods can effect are pretty solid, so there isn't a very high rate of change. The mod tools will help both modders and Armagan make more content, faster. This is good, since 'lack of content' is one of the more common complaints.

When you do stuff like this, there's always a certain tension between spending time on the 'actual' project or tools to help you on the project (or even tools for your tools). It's just my humble opinion, but I think Armagan is spot on.

Module tools will hopefully require very little updating. At least that's the plan. But as a wise commander has said: "No battle plan survives the enemy" :P

Especially when you're facing off hordes of Black Knights.
