Regular
just before we start i just want to say that i'm not new to downlaoding mods and i have downloaded ALOT of mods for M&B W.

so what is happening is i install the mod...

1) created a folder for it and extracted the files into there
2) made a copy of native and copied all the files into there (clicking "yes to all")

and also some other unlikely things that were never going to work

the game works as normal but when i try to join a server (making sure its the correct module and version)it says something like "this server is using a different module to the one you have on" when i dont!

help will be much appreciated!!!

Is the name of your mod folder PWMOD_v33 ?

Does the folder name matter?!?!

Are you sure the server you're trying to join has the same version of the mod (3.3?). Some servers run the older versions.

yeah, i made sure its 3.3

I'm not 100% sure but something in the back of my minds tells me it does matter, maybe an old problem in the past, it's worth a try nevertheless.

Unnecessary. That advice is a relic from single player mods where the creator didn't want to add all the native scenes to their download, or if they made a small tweak to native. In this case, it's worse than useless: absolutely none of the stuff in the Native module are valid for this mod.

It probably won't make any difference with your problem, though; as others have said, it's very likely you haven't named the module correctly.

Even with v1 copying native was unnecessary. For any multiplayer mod, the module system builds all required files except for module.ini and the scenes used, which are almost always modified and added in the download. Other files are main.bmp, which will be used if included (most mods make a custom one); and map.txt, which is only needed for single player mods. You can easily create a basic but complete MP mod with a download size of much less than a megabyte - if you remove all the unnecesary native stuff from the module system.

Ok, thankyou to everyone!! it was that the filename had to be changed  (locking topic... i hope this helps others with the same problem as me)
