Mod idea collection: I want this mod.

Assuming the strange title caught your attention, this idea is more or less for a Baldur's Gate inspired mod.This would include a map based on the Forgotten Realms setting, namely the areas presented in the Baldur's Gate Trilogy.

For how much it'll follow Baldur's Gate, that really depends on the Mod Lead's plans. It would more than likely include: Magic, non-human enemies/allies, small-group centred areas/quests, hopefully "Banter" between yourself and your companions (andeven more hopefully banter between NPCs), and of course magic items.


Some extra suggestions for what such a mod could include (it doesn't need to include any):
Companions from the Baldur's Gate series as recruitable NPCs ("Minsc and Boo are ready to go!").
Some relation to the Bhaalspawn storyline (you could quite easily be another bhaalspawn, with the option of fighting the others).
Possible overlapping story (as per last listing, this would probably relate closely to Sarevok and Jon Irenicus in an alternate history).
NPC-focused quests, like helping Nalia save her family's keep, investigating the Nashkel mine, and anything else the modders could devise.
Fighting a dragon. Only the most ambitious modders should consider such a feat.
Transforming into the Ravager.
Explorable towns, similar to BG.
 
Hi. i'm sort of new to the whole M&B forum but not to the game i was just wondering if anyone could make a new mod like the old "native" mode as i remember playing with a army of huscals, the huscals were wearing my coat of arms and they have throwing axes, axes, shields, and warbows, these elite troops were awsome they were a army of their own, if anyone could possibly make this mode that would be great also with the option to make formations for troops, to sum it all up basically a large map like the native map with all the same factions and the huscals to have random weapons that nords will use, and my coat of arms , banner on their armour with them using large huscal shields,  :razz: if anyone could make this i would love you forever  :grin: :razz:
 
There are thousands of mods, take the BLACK KNIGHT MOD and there will be elite soldiers, but not exactly wat u want

I've had a similar idea before, a Forgotten Realms based one I mean. Yet there are so many...complications in implementing so many of the features (NPCs using magic for instance), that it'd take some time to make such a mod possible, the way you describe it.

You could try Ibanez's Elven Path though - multiplayer only so far. Somewhere in the Caravanserai, I believe.

Sorry. I cant find it too. i thougt i downloaded it at the m&b repository, but i cant find it there :sad:
 
I've already searched extensively but couldn't find anything, so I figured this would be the best place to ask

With most large mods, when you are knocked unconcious in battle, the battle continues. However, in native it ends immediately and your forces retreat. I was wondering if there is any mod that lets the battle continue after you are knocked unconcious in native

Eternitas Civtate

  A thousand years ago, the league of seven stood firm against the world.  They were the greatest nations of men.  They were Anaer, Mateon, Bastion, Anora, Genoria, Eterna, and at their head Calradia.  For a century the league stood shoulder to shoulder against the outer kingdoms.  From Suno, the emperor stood, commanding the world.  Yet it was not to last.  For the day came when Calradia split the league.  The emperor severed Calradia from the league.  He gathered barbarians from across the sea, the steppes, and the mountains.  He used them to bar the league and defend from the outer kingdoms.
  But without the league, the emperor was powerless when the tribes rebelled.  When that fateful night came, Suno burned...
 
  Without Calradia the league became almost non-existant, a puppet show, a chance to show the glory the realms lacked.  Soon, the Lords of The Eternita Civtate assaulted the kingdom of Anaer and oushed it into a landlocked nation on the edge, and conquered the Bastion, drining the kingdom behind it into chaos.  Genoria, unable to defend itself yielded and swore the oath.  Thus the reign of the Eternal city began.

  But three hundred year forward, the Bastion was reclaimed, crushing the eternal city's forces at the Rock, and their navy at the Isle of Rayos.  Seeing this moment of defeat, the Duke of Genoria rebelled.  The Rex Eternitas Civa was helpless as Genorians besieged the eternal city, sacking it.  But they were driven from the field by the remaint kingdoms of the league, now feudal lackeys of the Eternal City.  But this war had crippled the league and the eternal city, and Genoria retreated into itself, leaving the league in chaos, the Eternal city razed, and the world on the brink of collapse.

  Now, in the year 1358, the genorians are the head of the Genorian league, whose allies stand against the chaos of Eternitas Civtate.  But inside, the foundations have cracked.  The dukes and counts argue among themselves in uneasy alliance.  They are in a realm of petty nobles, that stretched to the eternal city to the nordic realm.  They believe themselves safe from the mighty city...

  ...They are wrong....
 
  For the chaos of the eternal city is lifted.  And it now marches to war...

Features:

- Epic storyline based on twarting an invasion
- Story based gameplay based on quests.
- Origins system, changing the gameplay depending on what you start as.
- New map and factions.
- New troops
- New world
- Maybe even voiced

  If no one picks this idea up, I will make it when I have finished some other projects.

Can someone make this armour in the game? If not, is there some sort of armour creator application that is easy to use such as thorgrim's map editor?
 
It's quite hard to make some 3d like that... Good luck with making it yourself if no-one will. It's gonna be a real ache.
