this is not a fantasy mod!!!!!
dracula never existed not in vallachia, transilvania or elsewhere.
some english smuck called bram stocker invented it.

Hmm? I thought dracula was a nickname , for Vlad the Impaler , which was a nickname for **** , Cant remeber his name atm lol , but in anycase he obviously was never a vampire , but i did get the impression somewhere Dracular was a Nickname for that guy.

I maybe wrong though.

Not exactly. Dracula was a nickname for him, but he was generally known as Vlad Tepes (helps differentiate too). I'm sure the original poster was referring to the vampire story instead. The Bram Stoker story of Dracula was very very (very) loosely based on Vlad the Impaler. So the two are related that way. That's why I suggested ol' Vlad.
Vlad was one bad evil son of a... gun. According to the stories, they sure didn't call him the Impaler fer nuthin.

Edit: check this out: http://www.vladtheimpaler.com/

yup he was a member of the dragon order and his father was vlad dracul in english meaning vlad the devil. they were nicknamed draculestii by the people.
maybe was crude but in those times it could have been necessary to be like that. as i know it he was very harsh to thieves ottomans and other throne rivals.
in bram stocker's novell the story is more likely based on some legends of a countess in hungary or austria that was very very cruel and that is also supposed to have been drinking the blood of some people.
i did not research that much on that subject but anyway.
i have chosen vlad the impaler and mehmet the second because they were the most emblematic for that time.
vlad was the most spoken of king (besides mircea the old) until michael the brave (which i could have not included because back in 1599 there were firearms)

btw janus how does it happen that u know so much about this subject are from nearby romania or somth??? (i mean born)

Heh, nah. I just read a lot. I must admit I've never heard of Mircea the Old, Michael the Brave, or Mehmet the Second (though that name seems familiar, maybe I've read something about him before).
The Necroscope book series by Brian Lumley (awesome fiction series focused on mental powers, the ability to speak with the dead, and the origin of vampires) got me a bit interested in Wallachia, so I read a little nonfiction about it.
I also saw some thing on TV a few years back about the origins of Bram Stoker's Dracula which went into some detail about Vlad the Impaler.

That's it. Born and raised in the US, though I'm not always proud of it. Especially with a dumbass like Bush for our president, that somehow got re-elected.

hey you're not the only one who doesn't like the person in charge of your destiny but it doesn't matter anymore

if u want to read more about what those persons i could direct you to some links or write u some data that i know.

Yeah, thankfully we won't have him for too much longer. Whoever we have as the next president will probably be another poor choice (like we've had for many elections running now), but I doubt they'll be worse than Bush II.

Some links to more info on those other guys would be cool.

That´s what happened in Spain  ... nobody wanted to go to war, but he sent us to war just to complace Bush. He wasnt re-elected and the new president decided to withdraw the army (so, leaving Iraq after helping to destroy it) and its worse than the previous one in many other things related to politics.

sorry for the delay janus been quite taken with this school of mine
here are some links on the guys i told u about:
shall i find more i shall edit this post:

of course these do not have everything there is to know about them but it is quite accurate as i saw them

please if u know of some links about historical events of your own country or state and the people involved please share (i like history weather it is my country's or not)

Cool, thanks for the links. I'll have to check them out.

I have to admit, I'm generally not nearly as interested in history less than about 500 years old or so, which rules out history here in the U.S. (unless we're talking about native americans, which I do have some interest in).

well i like all the history but especially the ancient and medieval one.
i really do not care whose people history i read as long as it is true and not a fake.

if u know some links about american indigen people post please it. it may become usefull to me (and maybe others).
