Missing skybox, but only in random battles / towns, and only occasionally?

I am fully aware that missing skyboxes is a common issue, and it used to be a 100% thing in the past for me.
However, after reinstalling (last played about 2 months ago), I now only get this issue occasionally.

Basically, if you don't know what it is, it is best described as the sky copying the image of whatever is at the edge of the ground and sky. It's like a trail of whatever is at that border, and ti repeats infinitely until the camera is stopped.

Now, since I know many of you experience this, I am curious - is it normal for this to happen only occasionally? So far I've had it happen 3 times since reinstalling warband, in about 1hr of play time. If I leave the area that it's happening in, and rejoin, the issue goes away.

By nature I am a very paranoid person, so I am always stressing about whether something is wrong with my PC or not.
I'm just trying to get peace of mind here, so any answers are appreciated!

For me its a random occurrence aswell, so I usually just end up saving and reloading until it goes away.

Have you checked out the variable changes in the ATI thread down a bit?

Aye, I have. For now, though, alt tabbing seems to fix it.

Just to confirm though, you do randomly get it on battle maps as well as in the overworld, right?

Yeah I get it in both, it drags the edges of the map into the sky.

Most of the time its just what you described, but you can get some quite pretty patterns with the right setup :D
