Hello everyone,

I would like to start a community dropbox for any sound or crosshair modifications et cetera. Please submit your own compilations!

Crosshairs

Reticle, Shows dots only and is most helpful
Unsure of Author but Khan shared it

Arrow reticle, has 3 arrows.
Made by Moss

Has a dot and 3 arrows.
Submitted by Gwyrdh

For the crosshairs drag the CONTENTS of the crosshairs dots folder into the warband textures folder then overwright

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\mountblade warband\Textures

The same rule applies for the rest of the mods, use the correct folder with replacing files.

Sound Packs

Fire and Sword Sound Mod Adapted for NW
Redone by andeve3

Khangirey's Sound Compilation for Muskets
Made by Khan

Swedish Battlecries for France, Made by Svensson
Made by Svensson and Modig

Irish Music Mod
By Gunny Bunny

Fire and Smoke Mod by Andeve3
Andeve3

To install the Irish music bit, just place the contents of the zip into the NW folder and overwrite the music.txt, which I suggest backing up.

I have another one to add for the reticles but this is the one I use and I like it rather a lot. I don't know who made the original file, I can't find the post I saw about it, but here's the reticle nonetheless.

It's like the dot ones, except it adds lines from each dot (just one, perpendicular to the center). It's like a triangle, I guess.

Like that, the best I could do. :V

sounds like the one i installed, if it is its an amazing crosshair.

Good idea for a thread, I know a couple of mods worth adding to the list.

First there is PsykoOps's excellent crosshair mod available here: mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1546

Second is a minor tweak to some of the hats with long feathers (hackles) that I fumbled together. It removes most of the hackles that would otherwise obscure part of the screen (such as the crosshair) when playing in third person, it affects the 84e, the french, prussian and austrian hussars, as well as both french and austrian uhlans among others. Other players will of course still see your glorious hackle.
Available here: mediafire.com/?6jq8hdkhhsnl930

Both mods can be seen in this screenshot:

I am loving the musket sound mod, look forward to seeing more added to the list.

I would not consider removing the plumes a fix, there was nothing historically inaccurate with them. It was purely for practical reasons, thus why I referred to it as "a minor tweak". I think it belongs in the miscellaneous category, and could be referred to as a "plume tweak".

It would be great if someone could convert solecist's splendid sound mod for Fire & Sword (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=169492.0) to Napoleonic Wars. The mod contains some excellent gunfire and explosion sounds as well as new sounds for bullets whizzing by, hitting the ground and so on. I experimented with it myself but was not successful, I have little experience with editing audio files, and do not know what characteristics the files must have in order to function properly in-game. It would definitely be preferable if this was done by someone competent, in order for it to be done properly.

A demonstration of solecist's sound mod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdza4UevHkA

EDIT: I have made some further changes to the model files, the prussian and russian guard regiments as well as the russian hussars now also have the plumes removed. Also included in the zip file are a few separate, optional files who modify colour tone the uniforms and backpacks of some of the regiments within the various nations. For example: the french leather backpacks look darker, less like plastic.
