minor exploit

This is an easy way to get rich which I don't think was intended by the creators. Go to the salt mine, buy lots of salt. I have a trade of 3 and it costs about 55. Then don't even bother to go all the way to Zendar, just go to Halmar or Reyvadin, and sell it for 140+. For me it's usually 142 or 145 to sell salt there (still trade 3). So in a couple minutes you can purchase all of the salt from the salt mine and sell it for nearly three times as much in nearby towns, without the bother of having to travel across the map.

Perhaps it should be changed so that the farther a town is from a given resource the more it will pay for you to transport it? Otherwise it's easier and makes better money for the time spent to simply purchase items from their cheapest suppliers, and then sell them next door. You don't make quite as much, but since each town has something it sells for cheap, you could conceviably just go from town to town doing this. The other products aren't nearly as exploitable as the salt is, though.

Maybe it would be better to decrease the price you can sell salt for everywhere except for Zendar. I'd like it if you made the Salt Mine/Zendar run more worthwhile, but got rid of the exploit of just selling salt to the nearest town instead.

Trying to get from the salt mine to Zendar with a full load of salt can sometimes be dangerous, and adds some tension to the otherwise (in my opinion) rather boring life as a trader.
