Hello everyone! What's the required amount of specs to run bannerlord above 60 frames per second?

Please reply  :iamamoron: :iamamoron:

With the amount of talk about optimization in the recent dev blogs your old computer will most likely be able to run it, as long as you are willing to turn down some settings.

For example, if you are perfectly fine with lowest settings with 800x600 resolution with 20 people maximum on the battlefield, then you can get 60 frames per second.

PCs with the currently published minimum specifications will not achieve large battle sizes, which will require high end gaming machines to achieve 60 fps.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord relies even more on CPU usage than Warband. Hundreds of characters, more advanced animations, an Inverse Kinematics system, individual AI, formation AI, combat calculations, (which do not change in respect to distance or visibility,) and many other requirements really increase the burden on the CPU. In order to accommodate this, our optimisation efforts are more heavily focused on the CPU. We generally try to use Data Oriented Design, which enables us to achieve high amounts of parallelism and core usage. Currently, 60-70% of the frame is fully parallel, which means it can, and will, use all of the cores of current and next gen CPUs for the foreseeable future, (the old engine generally used to use 1, or at most 2 cores.) This means that as new, higher core count CPUs begin to emerge, Bannerlord will scale well with the new hardware and players will be able to test bigger and denser battles. Currently our aim for battle sizes on current generation high end gaming CPUs is at 800 characters, at 60FPS.

Remember, horses require as much cpu as soldiers and will probably be included in TWs character count. So, if 50% of both sides are mounted, that gives a 300 vs 300 battle (200 infantry, 100 cavalry & 100 horses per side).

I have intel core i7 6700 HQ
I dont know much about this stuff though.
But I remember salesman guy asked me if I prefer strategy games or fps games and I said strategy games.
So he said this ones CPU will do the trick for most of the games.

 Can 4GB Ram handle bannerlord??

No one really knows. It’s too early to tell. This is the placeholder minimum spec on steam, but they are subject to change up until release:

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM:
Processor: Intel i3-2100 / AMD FX-6300
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: Intel HD 4600 / Nvidia GT730 / AMD R7 240
Storage: 40 GB available space
Additional Notes: These estimates may change during final release

I’m sure Taleworlds will make Bannerlord available to relatively low spec PCs, but that will come at some sacrifice (graphical quality, fps & battle size) compared to the experience they’ll offer on higher spec machines.

All right then, Now it all depends on them..

However if my computer cant handle it, I'm gonna buy a new PC xD
who is not gonna play bannerlord lol its a dream game xD

that is the best bet for Bannerlord. First wait for the game release so people can benchmark it for different setups (CPU, GPU, memory, type of disk, etc on high-ultra, with different battle sizes and 30-60 FPS). Then compare those results with your budget and buy a new PC (including a new monitor to handle the cool new effects).

depending how many months/years the game takes to release I will either use a 3-monitor setup (my current) or upgrade to a 49pol ultrawide (or whatever the tech is in 2019/2020/2021).

3 monitors looks interesting. I hadn’t realised that Warband supported multi-monitors.

Rip all those who upgraded their PC in 2016/17 thinking Bannerlord was right around the corner.

I find it kinda crazy that people still ask these types of questions, let alone for a game that nobody even knows anything about.

It doesnt really matter when people upgraded. It's not like the longer it takes to develop, the harder it'll be to run.

you will never need 32GB

I have being using 32GB on my workstation for years now, but I guess you meant for gaming. Check back in a few years , or when you decide to play TW with 50,000 soldiers or something crazy like that.

Some people may be using a tri or quad channel CPU too, so 8x3=24 and 8x4=32 on their gaming PC.

LOL those minimum requirement are way too low.
An average PC came w/ 16gb nowaday.
I Always upgraded my PC for M&B new games.  I spent 1600$ just for parts to upgrade for Vikings. I was able to run battle w/ around 700 npcs.
As soon as Taleworlds announce the release date.  I'll definately making a new PC =) .
if you Kids want a new PC, you better start working and saving now.  In 3 months you could save up for a new good PC.
