SP Native Minimod: Companion Export & Banner Edit (respec companions) updated 4/24

in terms of a manual tweak, ive been comparing the export/import mods for litus and 1257 and they use almost the same coding, just frameshifted for their other modifications. the thing is that they stick the operable script at the bottom of the page, rather than immediately after 'take an action' line.

see what happens if you add any additional menu items to the bottom of the python menus code

Does this thing still work? Patch 1.127 messed up my banner so now it's two banners merged into one. Not very pretty and I'd like to change it.

I think they stopper updating it after v1.113, which is a while back. Doesn't seem to work anymore

my manual tweak still works. just duplicate the menus.txt file (after youve applied whatever other tweaks to it) and edit the specified things. then swap the menus.txt file whenever you need to import/export--remember to avoid standing in a town or your screen will lock on 'the besiegers let you pass' or whatever the line is (alt+f4 to exit, no problem).

My banners are confused. I have one on my shield/heraldic mail/world map and a different one in my castles and as battle standard during battles. It seems to have merged 2 banners as it flickers a bit sometimes and a different banner is underneath. Could easily be a problem with a different mod though.

Instead the official mod v1.113v2 work great with v 1.126

maybe you forgot to change one of the things or your spacing is off. works fine for me on 1.127. here's the exact text for me:

blue is any text that is added verbatim
green is +1 to the # of things on the take an action list and +2 to the # at the top of the menus.txt file
red replaces what was originally there to unlock banner modification

Here is the thing, after I export the companion stats in camp, and alt-tab out to the above directory, I don't see any additional .txt files for the companions (only my characters).

Can you make a Diplomacy Mod compatible version? Because Diplomacy Mod is more important than this and honestly should be a core game feature, if this overrides any of the diplomacy options it's better not to get.

Would it be possible to have just the banner change? I'm using Blood and Steal, and thats already got a decent NPC import/export. I just want to change my banner, because being the idiot I am I chose the wrong one

The option to change your banner is included in the cheat menu. Enable cheats on the config page before starting the game. In game press CTRL and ~ (or `) and then type "cheatmenu" in the box that pops up. Hit Camp, go to the Cheat Menu in camp and you'll find a change your banner option. Then hit CTRL and ~ again, type "nocheatmenu" or else you'll get debugging messages as you play.
