Yeah I got same error, but I'd like to wait until you've got it completely ironed out for 1.113. Thanks for this, I really need it. I spent about a week playing this character and I noticed another lord has the same banner as me (from the Better Banners mod) and it's pretty annoying lol.
 
Newest version up you only need 1 text file this time just backup your menu.txt and use this one to export/import change banner then when you are done put back your old menus.txt. To get this working 100% I'm am going to need an up to date module system, sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey, does anyone here know where the exported character .txt files are saved?  They used to save in my doc (1.111), but that changed with 1.113...any idea where they are now?

Nevermind....(slaps forhead)....just in a different folder under my-docs....

That's a good idea I never thought of that. It annoyed me that I couldn't put points into those skill for some reason on my companions.
 
Great little mod, I already added the banner fix myself but I'm a slight noob and was wondering if you could help explain how to get the companion export into another mod?

WARNING: This text change is not ready-playable as you won't be able to enter towns. You can use it temporarily to export/import your companions as necessary but be sure to restore your menus.txt file to ithe original once you're done.

Change these values for menus.txt
First Add 2 to the number at the top of this file. So if it's 217, change it to 219

Search for menu_camp_action
Add 1 to the last number in this short line. So if it is 6, change it to 7

Search for mno_action_rename_kingdom
Paste this right before it. Be mindful of spacing so that it's even like the other strings in the same line

Green is what you need to add
Red: Replace this with "0 " to unlock modifying banner (already scripted in the game via cheat menu, but now freely accessible)

Finally paste this code above the line for menu_camp_recruit_prisoners

okay, my hunch of why you cant enter towns is that the the old code from original m&b didnt account for some new lines or frameshifted lines for warband overall.

maybe the import/export function has a redirect to this line:

since that's the text you see pop up when you enter a town/castle

earlier i fixed an old tweak for canceling the 'assess trade goods' for the town. what happened was that the new 'forget it' button redirected the game to the same 'do you wish to continue looting this village' because the code was a bit off.
