Trying to decide whether I should start a new map now and get a portal ready, or wait for the biomes update to hit before I create it.

It might be a good idea to start a new map now, and keep to your area, so the game doesn't spawn much new places. That way, you get the chance for biomes close by and still have your portal/torches ready.

I've already created a gigantic underwater glass chamber at the center of which I shall place my obsidian portal tonight. And I intentionally didn't go out exploring very far because of the biomes; the newly generated world chunks on old savegames will be getting the biomes as well.

No Multiplayer Health/Damage fix in this update. I am extremely dissapointed.
