So from what I gather, there still aren't enough people on the server to keep the PvP focused people happy. Further, when new people have shown up, they've been killed and hounded mercilessly as soon as they join, so that they naturally have no interest in staying on the server.
The PvP focused players also feel that the peaceful factions should have their peaceful status removed and be forced to defend their territory, even though presumably the peaceful players / builders are peaceful because they're not currently interested in PvP in the first place. This change would therefore also drive off the players who aren't that interested in PvP since they would also then have no interest in staying on the server, thus accomplishing nothing positive.
Is that about right?
Further, IA/Impendin has decided to withdraw his recent donation to the server, due as he says to not wanting to support players who are immediately killing any new players who join the server.
Based on that, funding for the server is technically back to eating into my wallet as of earlier this month.
Part of the problem is definitely on me, I just haven't had time lately to devote to improving or even much keeping up with the moderation and general handling of the server.
So... is it just time to call it quits, or are there still players interested in playing on the server and actually willing to donate to keep it running? If people are still interested in playing and donating the cost of keeping the server running, I will keep it running, but I'm wondering whether it's really worth it the way things currently stand.
