Villagers along the Nile were petrified the next morning, as a never ending stream of corpses and equipment was flowing among the usual boats and workers. Many a Roman died that day as Pompey's army triumphed over Caesar's numerous legions. Pitched battles were fought on Egyptian Plantations with the Populares in full retreat. The Optimate advance was halted on Nile Crossing, where Caesar's well placed infantry held the crossings with artillery support. Pompey's artillery turned out to be more dangerous to his troops than those of the enemy. Judea was contested by brief skirmishes, and in the end, losses culminated in massive civilian unrest. The Ptolemy dynasty continued silently observing.

Battle of Europe, Sunday May 31st, 2020 - 20.10 BST

Battle of Flodden

September, 1513. Honouring the Auld Alliance, an invading Scottish army under King James IV of Scotland has crossed the English-Scottish border, capturing several castles and making gains on English territory. The English rapidly dispatched an army under the command of Thomas Howard, Earl of Surrey to counter the Scottish forces. On September 9th, 1513 the two armies met on Flodden Field in what was to be the largest battle ever fought between the two kingdoms.

Some extra mod specific rules:

• Battle formations must be respected by all clans. Your group must stay together, all infantry formations are to use tight spacing, archers and cavalry can be loosely spaced provided they stay together as a group.
• Dismounted cavalrymen should try to join the infantry if they are able to do so.
• Archers must stay close to the infantry at all times.
• Players cannot flank an enemy formation on their own!
• You may use any equipment within your assigned class that you have the money for.
• Try to avoid uniformity - pick different variations of helmets and equipment amongst your men.
• Work with the rest of your team, and listen to the commands & advice of respective team leaders if any are given.

Stages of the event
I. Stage - Battle of Flodden

• Both armies meet on the field of our custom battle map.
• Artillery is not allowed to fire for effect during the opening 1 minute of each round until the teams are set up and moving.
• 5 rounds will be played.
• The losing team of the 5 rounds will retreat to a castle and defend a siege round.

II. Stage - Siege

• The team that lost the battle is defending, the battle winning team is attacking
• One round of Siege, 18 minutes. The defenders will have three minutes to set up and coordinate defences, and the attackers will have three minutes for an opening artillery barrage of the castle defences. The attackers can begin approaching the castle at the 15-minute mark of the round.
• Defenders will have five lives(Subject to possible change).
