You guys in Europe have to serve a year or What?

Tell me more about this.

Here in Poland we have one year military service. There is project to shorten it to 9 months. Polish army has now 50% of proffesional personel and there are plans to even increase this factor, so not everyone even see army service in his life now.
I think Germany has also one year service but I'm not sure..
Czech Republic wants (or maybe has it now) full proffesional army.

Depends on the country. We in Finland have to, I'm not too sure as to which other countries have the same.

I'm really not interested in college atm, but maybe when I get a little older and more wise I might wanna use the 70 grand for it..

And the bonus is in your enlistment contract, so it's already in writing.

Uh, that was my point. You have to make sure it's in your contract. Don't take anyone's word for anything, and ignore my advice at your own peril.
