The Teutonic Knights were a bunch of savages.  I'll take the Knights Hospitaller.

P.S.  Maybe add a poll?

Cheers.

I've always had a weekend for the Knights Templar, however much they are the cliched crusaders.

Edit: I meant weakness

Teutonic, and that stems from AoE II where they whooped ass. Oh, that picture you linked, I used to have that as desktop wallpaper.

I checked some source material, and collected a list of the Crusading Orders.

Hospitallers, including Order of St. Stephen and Knights of St Lazarus
Knights Templar
Order of Calatrava
Order of Santiago
Order of Aviz
Order of Montjoie
Teutonic Knights, including Livonian Order and Order of Dobrzyn
Knights of St Thomas Acon
Order of Monfragüe
Order of Sant Jordi d'Alfama
Militia of the Faith of Jesus Christ
Order of the Faith and Peace
Militia of Jesus Christ
Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy
Order of Santa Maria de España
Order of Montesa
Order of Christ
Order of the Dragon
Order of Our Lady of Bethlehem
Knights of St. George
Order of the Holy Spirit

In addition to these, there are some groups which are not considered to be proper Crusading orders, but use the "order" in their name:

Siscariot Order
Order of the Holy Sepulchre
Order of William
Order of Maria-Theresia

Lol, good choice. You do know, however, that the Hospitallers were nothing more than glorified pirates and slavers, aye? Insanely brave, yes, but not chivalrous without reproach. They raided Ottoman trade ships without regard for either their defences or cargo, slaying any who opposed them and taking the ones who didn't into slavery then selling them. The Ottomans attacked Malta after the Knights Hospitaller raided an Ottoman ship which carried Suleiman's favourite daughter, taking both her and her entire retinue into slavery then selling them.

And there are many other knightly orders, like the Order of the Golden Fleece or the Order of the Garter, but these are non-religious orders, unlike the ones you mentioned. They are, however, military. Well, they were military.

The Ottomans also destroyed the last vestiges of the Byzantine Empire.  As a Byzantine historian, that makes me not a little bitter.  I think I can live with the Hospitallers kicking them around a bit.

Cheers.
