Yeah it sucks for me as I was just recently getting into Dream Theater and then this happens.

Not bad. Never really liked his fancy drumming. The whole band went downhill after Kevin Moore left. I can't stand their newest stuff.

I love his fancy drumming. Also this place has gotten so filled with grammar nazis since last time I spent a long time here

well yeah if it fits the surrounding music. My opinion is that Portnoy has many redundant elements in his drumming, which really don't take the song forward, but instead makes it sound awkward. However it's just my opinion, so...
