Micro-Stuttering

Users who are viewing this thread

With my new PC, I've been having an issue with stuttering in a lot (even some older) games. My framerate is high, so I'm certain it's micro-stuttering. My specs:

CPU: QuadCore AMD A8-5600K with Radeon HD Graphics
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6570
8 GB RAM
1 TB hard drive.

Now what I'm not sure about is whether the "with Radeon HD Graphics" bit refers to my 6570 card, or to an integrated GPU of some sort? If so, is that the problem? Does anyone have any experience with this and/or a fix for microstuttering?

"wth Radeon HD graphics" probably means an integrated chip. Try going into the BIOS and completely disabling any integrated graphics, and setting PCIe as the main graphics adapter.

It could be caused by the default AMD drivers trying to run some kind of silly CrossfireX with your card and integrated. I've never experienced microstuttering on any of my single GPU systems and it's a very common issue with SLI and CrossfireX systems.
