Aren't the products of the cities randomized every game ?
AFAIK, no it wouldnt make much sense to see a inner land city producing lots of fish for example

Today I've made a "little" table wich could help you guys too.
I bought all products (without these ones, wich are needed as food, only the products for the merchant)
In the table i've wroted all sell prices that where offered in the different citys. At the last i've calculated the average for every product. By the average of the sales one, you'll quickly see whether the purchase is worthwhile or not.
Vevlet is missing, cause it was nowhere offered at the whole time today oO.... so maybe it will be updated by me or you .

So here is the table as a picture, i've to look for a place, where i can upload the worddata too.

ps. sorry for my terrible english skills

you are awesome, the spreadsheet is beautiful, too. Nice data provided. The velvet doesn't matter anyway, it is rare and only used for holding parties in castle.

ok, here is the word file. Maybe someone will push the table with new entrys. My idea was, to get 3 entrys for every product/city . If someone does so, it would be nice when he or she would upload that updated file too

This post got me started with trading.  Prices can vary by a GREAT amount (like going from 3 digits down to low 2's).  For example: Praven is a good place to buy Ale.  If you find a good price it may be around 80, however it is possible (without a very high Trade skill) to find Ale there for 13.  I'm not sure what causes the price to drop so low, but that's when you make your real profits (as described in that post I linked above).  The same thing happens with the other commodities.

Like today I encountered a bizarre sale in Suno where oil was selling for 45 and wine was selling for 35

Cha-ching!
I did have max trade skill, but still... that would be an incredible deal no matter your skill. I never used Suno much before but now it's a must-stop for me.

Salt also has good days and bad days. Salt usually goes for 180ish average but in Wercheg and Bariyye I sometimes manage to find salt for ~65-85 denars each.

Bariyye is also decent for dyes, but I've never seen them go below ~110 denars each.

I think it may have to do with how prosperous the town is; also I think the prices may change when Caravans come and go (instead of when the day switches).  But, it may be random because I've tried saving and reloading over and over to see what happens if I keep 'assessing prices' and usually it follows the same pattern over and over, but once it just gave me the uber-low prices instead of the usual pattern.

I think production goods may also be tied to the availability of raw goods. Lots of grapes in a city produces excess wine, olives produce extra oil, etc. The sudden price drop would make sense if a caravan recently visited with plenty of raw goods.

the little villages sometimes have ridiculous deals--velvet for <100 denars?! yeah, just look around and keep in mind what prices are average and you'll be rich in no time. play as the appraiser

I don't know if it was intended but i saw that for example ale price is lower when there is a lot of grain in the city so i think that amount of raw materials decreases and raises prices.

other than in nords' towns you can get cheap fish in Jelkala, as well (<50). suprisingly, you can sell it very well right next in Veluca or Uxhall little more down the road (>90).

i went there originally looking for velvet obviously but that seems to be rather scarce commodity

(sry)

*Rhodoks* Fish (Jelkala)-----> Rhodoks/Swadia (Veluca, Uxhal)

trade route!!!!

when abundant ale at praven can be as much as 13 denars buy as much as you can and sell it to reyvadin for 100+

yeah, but we are trying to find which "regular" trade routes are always, or often profitable

First off plz make this a sticky!

The best trade routs i have found and the fastest Money is:

Start at Curaw and buy all the Iron u can efford and then ride to Tulga, there sell all ur iron and buy lots of Spices and some Salt, then ride to Ichamur and sell all the salt and if they have spice at low prices buy some then ride back to curaw and sell all spices  once u are back at Curaw the trade thingy will have reset so u can just repeat it again and again

From one trip i can ´make 8k+ Denars
