Merchants no gold - Just bought the game

I just bought this game, so it's a clean install. If I go to any village merchant, they have no money to trade.
I seen posts about it before, but no answer on how to solve it. Someone please advice.

village merchants do not have any money whatsoever.  You can buy food from them and cattle but they do not have gold in stock already.

Could you perhaps explain when they will have money. How am I supposed to earn money and pay my army?

town merchants have money.

Go into a town, like Dhirim, Yalen, etc.

Marketplace.

etc.
