There is obviously something wrong with the actual melee system : we can't controle the range of our ennemy, the old kick was more or less a balance for this but it was way to overpowered, I agree. Lets just not talk about this cause it seems it won't come back and that's not the point here.
So here we are, the average and common fight style is now officially facehugging, most of the players now run from side to side 'till they hug your face, and then they run again, still sticking to your face and spamming side swings cause they get so close that almost half of their hits pass THROUGH the shields (don't know if it's because the hit start behind the shield or because they turn too close from you). Add those broken "slow" animations and you get why the melee fight is now so lame...
Something must be done cause it's really getting worst since few patchs.
Some players allready proposed some solutions like shield bash, 2nd melee attack, hilt bash or whatever. All those things go in the same way : we need another SHOVE AWAY ATTACK, one that we can aim, less more powerfull than the kick was (less stun so you can't be hit instantly after you got shoved away) and that send the ennemy at a reasonnable distance to fight.
What do you think ? Any suggestions ?
