Meet the Spy mission - base game

Hey guys - new M&B player here. I have to sneak into an enemy town and meet the spy - I can not get into the town without being recognised! What do I need to do? Thanks.

just kill the guards and u can walk around town (u also have daggers with u just so u know)

You can only meet the spy during the day, otherwise do as wamj said, kill the guards and enter the streets.
If you are not good enough to kill the guards armed with a staff and some throwing daggers you either have to reload and try to enter until they don't spot you or you have to use cheats (Alt + F4).

Just want to let you know, dawn is not day in that regard. The streets are still empty, you need to come back in the morning.

It's a cheat for those who can't save on demand
But yes, I meant Ctrl + F4

knock their guards unconsious, they are mostly low-mid tier troops, but you only get a quarterstaff and throwing daggers...
And then you have to speak every townsman/woman and find the spy...
I once found him just the first townsman I spoke to

ya try to run and hit  them with the staff or 1on1 just use throwing daggers when hes uses his shield wait till he attacks then throw it (I use this with the bow in touraments)

Hint: If you look closely, the lord who gives you the mission will give you a blatant hint: Saying he or she 

Obvious, yes, but a hint just in case he gets this mission again.
