This is a followup to my "Medieval Love" thread.
About:
I am in the concept stage of making a mod that allows you and NPC's to marry. You can have children, and when the come of age, can become another lord or a companion in your party. When you die, you play as your heir, inheriting property. The mod will also let you have vassals and alow you to be an armchair commander so you can sit in your castle all day and not fight, if you want. The inspiration behind this mod is Paradox's Crusader Kings. Below is a tentative features list. The list will change if features are deemed impractical or new features are appropriate.
Features:
There is alot of ambition in this mod. I will not start working on it until module system is released.
As of now, this mod will not contain new models, sounds, or graphics. (See http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,47151.msg1227564.html#msg1227564)
What do you guys think of the concept so far?

The mod will also let you have vassals and alow you to be an armchair commander so you can sit in your castle all day and not fight, if you want. The inspiration behind this mod is Paradox's Crusader Kings. Below is a tentative features list. The list will change if features are deemed impractical or new features are appropriate.
Features:
- Much faster time. Time speed can be adjuastable by user via hotkeys. (Can go from native M&B speed to much faster speeds).
- All NPC's will age and die and be replaced by new generations.
- All NPC's in villages and towns will have names and act like real NPC's (not just background random people).
- NPC's will marry each other as time progresses. This will try to be realistic. People will marry only people in or near their village. People will marry within their class with small exceptions.
- Married people will have children. When the child comes of age (random between 15 and 1
, the child becomes a real NPC and can marry.
- Political implications for marrying between different Lords and factions.
- Realistic child mortatlity rate. (Following the stats of real-life middle ages). Mortality rate changes based on the wealth of parents.
- When child comes of age, his/her stats are based on stats of parents. This includes their face appearance too.
- You can had things down to your heir before you die. (You become your heir, and the previosu character will be confined to life of retirement).
- Realistic aging effects on stats. (Example: If you're 60 years old, you can no longer increase your strength.) (This discourages people to play their 75 year-old character when their 40 year old heir is waiting to be played).
- You can have vassals.
- You can be a king.
- Automatic tax collection. (No more need to tour the map for taxes).
- You can manage your lands from user interface. (No need to actually have to go there).
- You can recruit from lands you own w/o having to go there.
- Many more ladies (for realistic ratio between lord and ladies).
- Inheritance through marriage. (You can inherit someone's property when he dies if you're first in line of inheritence, through marriage or otherwise).
- You can send your vassals on missions. (Like, go conquer X castle. Go patrol around X village).
- You can try to flirt with married people, but will gain negative relations to everyone that's positive w/ the married person. (Because villagers act like real NPC's, they all individually have relations to the players and each other).
- You can marry your children off to others.
- Multiple ways of getting married:
- If you are male, good relations with a lord allows you to request his daughter. (This doesn't count as a forced marriage, see below).
- If you are female, high charisma and good relations with a single man gives chance he will offer to marry you.
- If you are nobility, you can force a vassal (including villagers) to marry you, but if that person doesn't have positve relation with you, all their friends will hate you. Forced marriages also decrease the fertility of the marriage.
- Non-forced or non-arranged marriage: For males, you have to have high relations with the single female and with her guardians.
- Non-forced or non-arranged marriage: For females, you need only to have high relations with the male you want to marry.
- If you want to marry above your rank or class, you need significantly higher relations than marrying equal or lower class.
- Marrying below your class will create temporary morale problems for your army.
- Non-forced and non-arranged marriages get fertility bonus. Fertility stat affects chance of conceiving a child when you're not traveling (stationary in city/castle/village or camping) and also the stats the child has when he/she comes of age.
There is alot of ambition in this mod. I will not start working on it until module system is released.
What do you guys think of the concept so far?
