Medics

Do you think that there should be a way of healing teammates with a medic class?

We have thought about medics but then.... we started reading one of our history books about them.

Let's just say that in the battlefield there was nobody to help you, except maybe a camerade to drag you to the camp, if your lucky to survive that far, your limbs would be cut off most of the time, since they had no way to stop the bleeding, then again you most likely died from a infection or lead poisoning anyway.

This is why it is totally unrealistic to add them in the game.

Cheers.

Well...it was just a thought. I thought it would be cool, but like most of you guys said. It wouldn't work out. Too complicated. End of story. Not historically accurate.

Let's just make like in COD! Make them stand 12 seconds perfectly still without moving and all health comes back like magic! (12 seconds is the estimated reload time for the people that thus not know!)

Or how about we make the medic have a medisket, it's like a musket but he shoots knives that heal and his melee cuts off limbs that grows up instantly so they heal!

Yea...No. Medic will never work in the game, even more in 1v1 or 2v2 regimental line battles, where 1 soldier gets hit then they all just wait for him to troll-heal.

Now either you take your idea, crumble it and eat it so we can all forget about it or either you will be named the worst title of all...A...A..A FRENCHIE! Now go there and think.

Should be a medic tent at your base on sieges and maybe battles, not a medic class.

Maybe, but then you would get some people who would storm the breach, take a minor hit, and then run ALL THE WAY BACK to camp to heal up, before doing the same again.

It just wouldn't work in this module.

Though, there should be more advance wounds then just losing some health, like if you get shot in the arm, you cannot aim aswell and will miss targets, or even misfire.

Health regeneration would turn this game into a Call of Duty in my opinion.

Call of Duty aka the game you get shot 50 times from an AK47 and still shake off the bullets and move on.

Medics didn't even exist in these times, if a soldier got hit he'd be dragged back to camp (if hes lucky) and have his leg or arm sawn off.

If a soldier got slightly wounded but was still able to fight, he had to stay in his unit.
If you were badly wounded you just had to wait for someone to pick you up and drag you to the hospital (or you had to drag yourself to the hospital). During battle, soldiers weren't allowed to pick up wounded comrades to drag them to the rear, because they would never return to their unit during the battle. Obviously. So, most of the wounded were first picked up after the battle, if they were still alive, and brought to small hospitals where they only got rudimentary treatment, because there was always a lack of surgeons during battles. They amputated maimed limps to stop infections, and stoppen wounds from bleeding, but not more; Patching the soldier up had to wait until some time after the battle, when there were more surgeons available. So, even if a surgeon gave you some attention at the hospital, you were in no shape to continue fighting.

BTW, medics didn't exhist in the Napoleonic wars.
