I don't think he cares about the fact you're having a different opinion than him, he is just having a good laugh about the way people sometimes behave, you including.
6 pages of discussions, did something even change? Maybe not really worth your time Gibby, don't you think?

I'm sure many watched this, but here's the link (that cuts to the part) where Lust and Cleric are discussing KURWA's name on Horse and Sword: Link.
Personally, I don't think KURWA's name would determine whether a sponsorship was gained or not, especially due to being able to conceal the name by presenting potential sponsors other VOD's and content. Presumably by that point, a name easily banned from future tournaments would be less of an issue, and the actual game more important.
That said, it seems Lust finds this a big issue. It's fair to assume he knows more about sponsors and "becoming" an esport than the rest of the community. The ease by which KURWA could change their name and potential benefits gained from doing so suggests it would be a good idea if they did.
I feel if sponsors felt unsure about KURWA's name, it could be explained as: "A name that has fallen under substantial criticism within the community, but ultimately allowed due to it's long existence and contributions to the scene."
Dr. Peepee - Evil Geniuses - SSBM Member of the Five Gods, one of the best Melee players of all time.
Balls - Cloud 9 - LoL Member of one of the best League teams for multiple seasons.
Rape - Varied - CS, CS:GO Played for various teams in ESL.
These players are allowed to play under these names, but we're stuck on a name that means prostitute? I know Warband is roughly based around the 14th century, but I'd imagine the community wouldn't be stuck there too.
What Cleric said is how I feel/have felt about it.
I get Lust's point about trying to make the forum-made competitive into something more but on the other hand it doesn't feel right to make KURWA(who have been a big part of the community that made the game competitive) change their name.
Also, as Cleric wisely said, the change itself should come from them, not be enforced on them.
Now since Warband competitive isn't an E-sport, isn't sponsored by Taleworlds or someone else but is still a community made thing I don't see KURWA changing their name.
If Warband/Bannerlord becomes something more E-sport-y (however that is achieved) I feel like KURWA themselves would change the name, if need be, for the sake of the community.
To me it feels like this was approached very badly. I dislike how Lust says 'It's just a pain in my ass' and seems to have approached it (the name and the clan itself) negatively. Like it's something that's been holding him back and he wants it made his way.
Instead of approaching it neutrally/or even positively and just explaining to KURWA why he would like it to be done and how that would help.
My suggestion would be KROWA (Polish for cow) and changing the flag to a hussar riding a cow
The word for 'prostitute' in most/all Slavic languages is prostitutka/prostytutka/etc which is an anglicism (duh). The word kurwa/kurva/etc means 'whore', and is used, at least in South Slavic languages, as a highly offensive word, keep in mind though that the Polish language has evolved to use it in everyday speech, that's how I see it at least. E.g. when you drop/break something and say '****' '****' and so on in English, in Polish you would say 'kurwa'.
Edit: After re-reading my post, I've seen that I have written a lot about Lust and what Lust wants.
Lust, did you make the decision of applying to TW with the intent to make WB an E-sport yourself ?
Or did you start a poll on the multiplayer forums with the question 'Should I apply to TW and try and make Warband an E-sport?' where people involved in competitive(community that made it) voted 'yes' 'no' 'maybe' 'yay, new poll' ?
This is concerning your "As someone who has invested so much..."
And I don't mean all this in a bad way. But you have gotten yourself into the position of 'someone who is the representative of the community' and my opinion is that you have approached it badly, instead of working with the community(who want to go E-sport too?), to me it seems like you are behaving like a godfather/dictator/someone steering the community in the way he thinks is best/wants to.
Just, for example, with the KURWA issue. Instead of saying 'Guys, we are all in this if we want to make Warband into an E-sport and you will maybe have to change your name as it is not appropriate' you went 'This needs to be done, just makes problems in my E-sport plans'.
Once again, this is not ill-minded and I hope I get my point across

I personally feel KURWA is actually quite the witty name. It is very obvious that it is based on the Polish use of the word, considering their clan-banner and clan-thread, thus based on the tongue roller many polish people use to describe pretty much anything. With this name, they instigate reactions while not being particularly offensive. This is a good thing in my eyes, since it forces people to think or pulls out peoples' own prejudices on the subject.
I believe that people, who take this word as an insult should look at their own set of morals and values, since I personally believe that people who view a whore as something "bad" are dehumanizing a group of people who share a proper profession.
KURWA is a witty name that tackles moral stigma and has a nice ring to it. The meaning of the word itself is also not really offensive. With that in mind, I do not agree with the idea that their name needs to be changed.
