mb.exe has been prevented from accessing graphics hardware

Hey, today I've been doing my first Khergit playthrough. So what I was doing was traveling across the map, and suddenly it exits me to the desktop, my computer becomes very laggy, and I had to force quit M&B. This was on Steam.
The error, which is also in the title, said "mb.exe has been prevented from accessing graphics hardware". So I looked it up a little, and it said I might have to update my graphics card, but I'm not entirely sure. (Oddly, all my M&B crashes are related to the Khergits.)

Any help would be appreciated, thank you. If I need to post my hardware specs, I think I can do that.

It happened again... While playing as the Khergits. The khergits seem to be the root of this problem, it never happens in any other case... ever. Maybe all those horses are too resource-intensive for my computer.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would try updating the driver first. If you're still getting crashes after, try running warband as admin (Go to the file location of mb_warband.exe (With steam, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\mountblade warband, right click and select properties, go to the compatibility tab, and check "Run as administrator")
