Maximum Cap for Skills

Is the cap for this mod 12 for skills? Homeboy has 40 str when you get him and 12 powerstrike. When he leveled I couldn't add any to powerstrike. According to my awful math he should be able to go to 13 without issue.

So is the cap 12? and is this the cap for everyone or is it just hero specific?

It's 12 for Power Strike, Throw, Draw and Ironflesh. All the rest are 10. For everybody, as far as i'm aware.
Also, if you feel like it, you can modify the maximum skills by tinkering with the Skills file in your Native Expansion folder. But don't go further than 15, since for some reason the skill reverts back to 0 if you go to 16 (modifiers added by books or such don't count, so they can go to 16.)

well i'm realy trying to get jinnai more then 6 engineer and i just can't
i mean
how much intelligence does he needs for that?

6x3=18
So he needs 18intelligence to get lvl6 engineer.
It goes up in 3's; at 21intelligence, he can get lvl7. At 24, lvl8, and so on.

Note, too, that some of the companions start out with skill levels beyond what their attributes would ordinarily support.  Tismanu has a 3 in Trade, with painfully low Charisma, so getting him to level 4 Trade takes more than three levelings-up.  I haven't hired Jinnai in awhile, but maybe he has the same mismatch between his Engineer skill and his Intelligence stat....

Pertaining to the above comment, I noticed that some Companions have no Leadership Skill at all. Not only that, but I am unable to train them in it, even if their base stats support a higher leadership skill. Is that hard-coded in or an odd bug perchance? Cause it's disappointing that they can't learn anything from my leadership, even after riding with me for as long as they do.

There'd be no logical use for it. It's a leader skill, so in YOUR party only YOUR 'leader' skills pay any affect. If the other hero starts his own party, it'd still be useless; Lords don't pay wages (cheapskates) and they can have any damn large army they like.

Interesting. I wasn't aware that leadership didn't affect the NPC Companions as Lords. I assumed that it controlled their overall army size.
