Yes, I used mods.
Hello,

The other day I was playing a battle.. pretty huge.. at least 18 armies. I was playing the game for a few hours. The game started to stutter, the screen froze.. and the entire computer had to be shut off and back on.

I started the game back up.. and would only get as far as the loading screen before it crashed.

The video card was updated over 2 weeks ago.

I verified files and 3 were needed to be reloaded.

Restarted game... crash.

I uninstalled the game and removed all Mods.

I reinstalled the game and started it back up. No mods.

I went back to load the last game and it loaded. But... no kidding.. every character including my own were children. I hit "Save" and it crashed.

I started back up to make a new Campaign Game. No mods. I was able to play for about an hour. I went to save the game (not automatic) and it crashed. It would save when entering and leaving.. but when you save it.. it will crash.

I uninstalled the game a second time. Erased every Mod artifact. Installed the game again.

I downloaded all the Mods I had before and read through the Nexus and erased all the daughter files.

I ran the game and it worked. If I try to load any game it will crash.

I was able to make an entire new Campaign Game, with all the old Mods (new downloads and all up to date). I would get past character creation and leave that training field. I tried to save it.. it crashed.

So in short;
Game suffered one major hard crash / freeze.
Verified files. 3 bad.
Game uninstalled.. all mods uninstalled.
Game installed.. Game started but crashed on save games.
Verified files. All good.
Re downloaded Mods all updated, no conflicts.
Try to save it will crash.
Uninstalled the game again and reinstalled.
Make new Campaigns, can not save.

See if this works:

Thanks!

Shawn

Hello, unfortunately, we can not offer support for the modded games. Please let us know if you can reproduce the issue on a new campaign after manually removing the mod files and verifying the integrity of the game files.

I believe what I posted in the first post was a crash code for a game with no Mods. (pretty sure).

I did try everything.. Mods, no-Mods.. all the uninstalls and reinstalls.. updated the video drivers.. verified files. Saving and loading games were a serious problem for me.

Hi, the mods will alter the coding of your game and the save files you play while it's installed. So it's normal that your previous save files won't be loaded on an un-modded verified game. Please try to reproduce the problem on a new campaign after manually deleting all of the mod files and verifying the integrity of the game files. Let me know if you can create a save file of that new game.
