Though a Mass Effect game that deals more with the interplanetary/species politics rather than an "imminent apocalypse" situation would be pretty awesome. Although I am a sucker for intrigue in games

As the original trilogy got progressively dumber as it went along (doing away with your inventory, not allowing you to salvage stuff, decreasing how customisable your weapons, ammo and armour are, altering the charm/intimidate and conversation options, and generally making it more friendly for FPS players whilst dumbing it down for RPG players) I really don't hold much hope for whatever comes next. Though I would indeed like something such as this:

Sadly, such a game would not earn as much money as:

Call of Duty: Mass Effect.

So... meh.

And I'm sure as hell not doing an MMO.

So grow a pair. Her avatar is very easy to spot, so when you see it, just gloss over her post. Don't bother reading it. It's actually a very easy thing to do.

Though of course, you have to take into account that this is an internet forum. And for the moment, we're all entitled to our own opinions. It's Jhessail's opinion that the next game will be ****, and that's just as valid an opinion as one that's covered in bluebirds and shiny stars.

Given the relative success of ME3's multiplayer, I suspect it's going to be something like Gunz Online or similar MOBA.

If it's an FPS with a linear campaign, that means there will probably be less alien ****ing, which means videos like this will be far more difficult to make.

I actually enjoyed it more when they got rid of the cRPG stuff of the first ME. Though that is mostly because the interface was a piece of ****. "Hmmm... I can either dispose of these 50 new items one by one, or grab them all." who the hell came up with that? Actually simplifying the conversations was the only reason I didn't like about the changes they made... and paragon Shepard acting very silly now and then. In the first game he was mostly stone faced, distant and calm but now he's throwing all kinds of hissyfits and does soft talk with huggles and everything, when all I wanted him to do was to say "Calm down. It's not that bad."

I don't care what the game mechanics are, so long as the writing, character interaction and plot the are enjoyable. I'm not entirely pessimistic, I liked ME3 when it was about uniting the species to fight against a common threat. They only started ****ing up gloriously when it came to the Reapers and their motivations, which was postponed pretty much to the very end IIRC.

It's pretty impressive what he manages to do without any modding tools. The part at "Ah, yes, reapers" here was really funny to me the first time I watched it. I also enjoyed Miranda talking about little formal education.
