Hah, this is so ridiculous! The 13 y.o. reminds me of my 6 y.o. girl next door. Who would want to marry a 13 y.o. for Christ's sake?

Well, in the past, nobles ( i guess I'm around age 1300 or 1600) did marry people 15 years under themselves, even if they were 13 years old.
But that's the past, i don't think anyone would marry a 13 years old girl today. And not for Christ's sake either!

No it isn't.

In the States, though state law varies somewhat, I'm fairly sure the age of consent doesn't drop below 16. This is all rather odd.

Age of consent is very high yes, but this does not apply to married people. And since you can get married at 13 with the parents concent it's all ****ed up.

Add: This too does indeed vary between states, most however still allow marriage between shockingly young people with the approval of the parents.
